Do you have a pic for an example? As you can see, I was upside-down a couple times haha. I sort of wish it came with a traditional 1/8 wing (scaled down), but I'd for sure cut it down if you have an example of how you did.

Seen some folks drill a bunch of holes instead of making a full cut out, idea being that it keeps the original strength of the wing so it will last longer... which of course the wing should last indefinitely provided you never crash, ha!

Scroll back up in this thread and you'll see some examples. I think I cut down to the second line on mine for racing outdoors.

I would invest in a 3.05mm drill bit or 3.05mm Kyosho arm reamer, 1/8" drill bits are not recommended because they are 3.17mm in diameter and tend to introduce too much slop, the pins are roughly 2.97mm in diameter

I usually cut my wickerbill completely gone when I race indoors, especially when there's a lot of 180's. The bigger the wickerbill, the more the car will stall out in the middle of a turn. The lower one will rotate nicely around turns and give plenty of downforce.

Just make sure you use a dremmel with a sanding wheel to get the corners of the wing. That will help prevent cracking by not having any sharp angles.

Are you referring to TheJANG's Shapeshifter Truggy with a HoBao Hyper 10TT body and SCT wheels?

Ah... I just searched for it and see that it's "coming soon", and not yet released... should be interesting to see if noobs show up to the track with these over time.

hey, why not. If it gets them into the hobby then I'm all for it. Once they get addicted, they'll then upgrade to a racing platform vehicle like the ET410. I built the same Jang shapeshifter you referenced above, and it was an absolute blast to drive!

Someone in the FB group (pics in comments) was trying a TLR 22T 2.0 body over the tower. Might need to install posts on wing mounts to make it work. Also said that doing the mods to mount the rear shocks forward might also help it fit better.

Get an Sworkz wing they are made of the same type of plastics as the 1/8 scale ones.
Looks like they are on back order atm at Amain https://www.amainhobbies.com/sworkz-...800abk/p267310

So to the group running stock 10.5 set ups... what are you doing do for gearing?

On the pinion with a 21 tooth, stock spur the stock 13.5 wheelers walk away from this thing... not much timing in it yet... but looking to
see what others are doing as I'm looking to set mine up soon as it's here next week.

Saw a post on FB that some were going to the EB410 Spur to open up gearing options..anyone do that?
ow does that pitch hold up on the 10.5 and lower turn with the larger tires and weight?

Spending some time on the build this weekend... the new shock caps are going on perfectly, I don't think I will be upgrading to the aluminum caps anytime soon

I also played around with a spare body for a Losi 22T-2.0 Mid Motor layout option and it seems doable, certainly not a direct fit as both the front/rear mounts will need to be modified, but the body appears to provide proper clearance over all the shock towers without any trimming of the body necessary... now I just need to figure out how to come up with new body mounts that will work...

*** EDIT
I was able to jerry-rig some mounts using left over SCT410 mounts and cut them into place using existing holes on the front tower and then made a reinforced webbing on the rear to attach the rear mount... I had to bend the rear body clip into a U shape to fasten it... not a perfect solution but "do-able"
