Serpent Project 4-X

THe right height is too low now huh? I forgot the number. But I had to shorten them quite a bit. Try 12mm each and go from there.

In regards to the roll center inserts on the bottom of the bulk heads which of the three options will provide more traction. I know there are many many variables to all this but what affect does the MidLow, MidHigh, and High each have.

Roll center is prob one that has the most conflicting opinions on and the effect of changing lower arm positions has been very different from car to car for me and I think it has something to do with each car's stock roll center position. Unfortunately RC crewchief doesn't have Project 4x info yet. It would let us understand expected result from changing roll center much better. Just by eyeballing it, stock position seems very low but the arms are much shorter than other brands so you should take that into consideration.
In my 17.5T, I have mid high lower arm inserts and car is very stable in low- mid grip asphalt. The effect was very noticeable when it was changed from mid low setting.
In my mod car, I have mid- low RC (only because I want to make both RC's work for a challenge and I was lazy so didn't want to change the lower arm position. you guys know how hard it is to change the lower arm position in Project 4x once assembled lol). I had to thicken the rear roll dampening/springs quite a bit to stabilize the rear out of exit which was quite puzzling at first but I think the rear might have rolled too much too quick hence lost grip. When I changed the roll springs to softer ones, it got worse. I haven't had enough time to test it further on my mod yet.
But as you see, most use stock mid low setting and they are all fine. So as you said, it depends on the rest of the set up and I'm sure you can make either work.
Please share your experience too.

Been waiting for this for like ever. Looks really good but I do wish the drivetrain layout was more centered (belts more centered like Mugen, Awesomatix, Yokomo, Gizmo, Schumacher). I'm still on the fence with which exotic TC (A800, 4x, GZ2) to go for and hence still fooling around with other standard TC's - it's so fun to build new stuff).

Ran the 4x in a bit of testing on the weekend (bought one that had the VTD and other upgrades fitted) noticed it had a tendancy to oversteer mid corner which was new... All other cars I have encountered off power oversteer (so I reduce droop) but mid corner....

Have to take a new approach to setups on this car.
