Raced the P4X for the first time this past Saturday. Spent most of the day changing settings, installing the short stiffener, rebuilding shocks.

I noticed something funky about the front pull rods and I am not sure if its correct. Basically at default pull rod length, the suspension arms are connected to the point where lowering one arm all the way down actually pushes the opposite side up and vice versa. Has anyone else noticed this?

I shortened each pull rod by about 1MM and it almost completely relieved this strange side effect. I think if I go another .5mm on each side it will be completely gone. Thoughts?

Try 14.5 mm front and 15.5 mm rear on the pull rod and don't touch it again.. This the optimum length.

Just to confirm you are talking about the pull rods that lay parallel with the chassis, inside of the bulkheads?

So assuming then ride height as well ? How are you measuring droop, over ride height or under the hubs ?

Pullrod lengths affects weights transfer of the car and ride height.

How do you guys go about reducing weight in the car when you have full option parts? Just got VTD and total package is 29g, which is pretty heavy. I didn't take off the packaging yet but it will only shave a couple of grams. Even with aluminum screws I don't see the whole VTD set going below 25g.
The car is already pretty heavy. My car is 1003.6g with tires and all electronics installed w/o battery and body. The body's about 100g and battery about 270g. With VTD it will be 1400g. Can't go any lower for battery, can go lower on body by maybe 10g. What else? What do you guys do to keep it at minimum weight?

Without the big aluminum center brace the weight is quite comparable.

Oh I forgot about that. Thanks. It's been cut already so I can get the rear half off. Another 10-15g I guess. Anything else? I've already put titanium and alu screws wherever possible.

Get rid of the rear plastic bumper piece for a couple more grams.

It will lose some weight, but that is a pretty crucial part of the car and somewhat delicate. I’d be careful.
