I'm disappointed by the body rule, Localy I'm not worried we can run just about any real body. It's the bigger races I may have second thoughts about.

Also gotta say I think the weight should have been left alone. I less of a problem with 1450 than with VTA old 1550.

I do want to say thank you though for giving plenty of advance warning for when the rule change takes effect

It is at the larger events if using a lexan wing. Still up to your particular track on how strict the rules are followed. I don't disagree with you though. It would be great if everywhere we traveled to had the same rules so we could just get down and race. I do like the 1380wt so I can remove 60g of tungsten but that half second gap between 17.5 and GT just shrank a bit more. That would be the only downside I see to these changes.

JimmyMac,
Enforcement of ANY of the rules is a track/RD issue, not a rules issue.

I thought the Hot Rod GT was the Morgan GT? I get it that you love it or hate it. But it is as scale as many other bodies being used in USGT.

As for the body rule changes, I don't have a problem with that. I wish the Hot Rod GT was on the list, but rules are rules.

Tell me you race with that paint job? It's spectacular!

Minimum body weight to encourage better paint jobs isn't really necessary, most of the Top 10 @ the '15 USIC had some pretty intricate paint, effectively rendering the "get all the weight low" crowd moot. Besides, creating an extra metric in Tech would make things more painful.

I will say I am not sad to see the prototype/GTP bodies go.

these rule changes are for a select few....not the majority. Well enough alone was the battle cry. Now its cater to the crying that want more speed and no balls

How is the PFM10 still on the list? It doesn't represent any real car I have seen.

It does look like the Jaguar C-X75 concept supercar.

I can't answer for linkless, but for me, no, it doesn't. The front grill/air intake is entirely different, and the side air intakes are entirely different. But as I said, the PFM-10 does look like something that is well within the realm of possibility.

I'd say it looks as much as the PFM-10 as the Morgan looks to the McAllister Hot Rod... Which is: close, but only sorta-kinda.

While everyone is fired up, keyboard slam your way over to rcsignup and get registered for the 2016 USVTA Summer Slam, 29-31 July (cough last weekend of the National Championship cough). We've got a bunch of sponsors getting onboard, and some team guys making the trip this year to get the experience of a layout that only The Gate can bring you.

Ouch! Right in the feels! Paint work on this one was done by the excellent Todd Daly. Mounted on a VBC Ghost EVO. Wheels and tires were just for the photos. Sadly won't look nearly as killer with the zero offset Gravity's.
