Looks like they listed the rule twice once @ 5000 then again @ 6000
Its 6000mah...we will clean up the web page.

Its Discontinued but there is one that is for sale still from "The Build RC" which looks "exactly" the same. We have some discontinued bodies on there if there is not another version available.

Does that mean we can or cant change the min weight yet? The lighter weight now may be easier on tire wear for those that race on the asphalt.
Thats up to your local race director to see if they want to adopt these changes early or not.

Also you can check with your local track and see if they would be ok with you running a body that is not on the list after August. I cant really see too many places telling you NO....that being said at a larger event or National Race then you need to run a body on the list.

Just a warning about the McAllister Jaguar XKR. I have used that body before. It's a good body and very durable. But, The slope of the hood toward the front makes it difficult to fit some chassises with our rubbing the front shock tower. I was wondering why the McAllister 191 2003 Corvette is not on the list. It's similar to the 307 MX Mustang GT and 211 Jaguar XKR? Thanks.

Has anyone tried the Delta Plastic MC12 or Elise? I'm curious what they weigh, since reaching minimum weight is going to be tricky for me. Does either one have any glaring faults? It looks like the Elise might get rear body tucks pretty easily. The MC12 looks better for tucks.

NutDriver, here's your cue!

What happened to the McAllister Hot Rod? I bought that body because I was sick of seeing USGT become TC with everyone running the same body.
I thought the spirit of the class was supposed to be ANY body that isn't a touring car body? How can you disallow bodies?
Just curious...

The spirit of the class is modern GT bodies....the McAllister Hot Rod is not....this was our plan with making the list to keep it modern GT bodies. We cleared up the "Gray Area" that people were asking for.

Fair enough.
I see and understand. I'm hip.

Howard, I sent the MC12 I had to Dave W for consideration for Spec175GT approval before I ran it. I ran the DeltaPlastik Elise on my TC4 with Tamiya 2mm offset 24mm wheels without an issue. It's a 200mm body.

Thanks, Scott! Do you know the weight for either one?

I'm getting the impression that I'll end up picking a body for low weight, not appearance.

I agreed with your decision - until I looked again at the list.

VINTAGE 1963 VETTE BODY TOURING
TBG S1 QUATTRO BODY
VINTAGE AC COBRA 427 BODY
VINTAGE LANCIA 037 RALLY BODY
VTG A TYPE QUATTRO BODY

These bodies are NOT modern GT bodies. I think you have created another "Gray Area."

Please explain...
