In our region USGT and USVTA have been merged into a single class. Novak 25.5s with D compound tires, 1450 min weight and any scale body.

Thanks
i'll take a look around me

for teamgravity.com , the shipping cost to France is almost expensive as the tires themselves ...

So you can run any D compound tire (like the X-patterns), or does it have to be the VTA Vintage tread tires (HPI4793 fronts and HPI4797 rears)?

Yep, both X patterns and the vintage tires are used. More people run the vintage tires though.

New shell I ran last night. HPI 350Z. The Greddy version. It comes with the better wing. What I like about it is that it fits the Associated TC6 foam bumper perfectly. My last 350Z shell lasted a long time because of that. Didn't get much front wheelwell cracking either. Nice downforce. Seemed like everyone was running a 350Z body in the Indianapolis area for a while.

A cool shot that Kenny Crouse took at Timezone Raceway over the weekend.

TQ'd and won, so the VBC Ghost Evo and McAllister Mustang were getting it done!

I didn't realize the Mustang had stovepipes.

ROFL, I know right! I've been planning on cutting them down, but keep forgetting about it until someone reminds me I think I'll go hack them up right now!

What did you think of the body?

Well it's hard for me to say. The reason, is that it's the only body I've used on the Ghost Evo. It's also the first time I've raced the Ghost Evo and it was the first time I've ran on asphalt this year. So essentially I really don't have much to compare it against, other than the other cars. The fact that it TQ'd each round and won the first 2 A-mains should tell us a little. I didn't race the third A, since I had already locked up the overall.

I do plan on trying out a more street version of a Mustang body, so I'll have more data once that happens.

Anyone have suggestions with R1 21.5 premium motor-gearing and timing? I tried from 3.8 to 3.2 final gearing and played with timing but motor never got above 120 deg. I did feel some fade after a couple of laps at 3.2 but motor didn't get hot. Ended up at 3.8 and 40 deg timing for the main. Motor came off at 110. I have a 30mm fan on the motor too. Thanks.

If you want a hotter motor, pull the fan!

Seriously though, a motor doesn't have to get hot to find its sweet spot. If you are keeping pace with others and your motor is at 110'with a fan, pull the fan. The extra tiny bit of juice it is pulling could help at the end of a run.
