Running an Mbx7r eco, rx8 gen2, t8 motor, hitec 7955tg servo and futaba radio.
Seeing if anyone has any ideas before I contact tekin. Running my buggy the other night and came off a small double and everything just stopped. None of lights on the rx8 were on and no power to the car. I don't have the switch on the rx8 so that shouldn't be a issue. I checked all the connections from the battery to the rx8. I pulled the esc and motor out and all the wiring looked good, no bare wire or anything. I did try running a different receiver and that didn't change anything.
Thanks for any help.

Hook the battery up and try to wiggle one of the battery posts.
Help in repairing a RX8 gen2
Hi there,
a friend asked me try to fix his brand new RX8G2. He was driving a MGT7 (4S/T8 2450kv) when the car stopped working. It was easy to identify that the capacitor bank inside the esc was completely destroyed (see photo bellow).
As we don't live in the US, send the esc back to Tekin is not an option to us. The esc connects normally to PC and answer to hotwire requests. It seems the problem is just the cap bank. My question is: where I could find these caps and the correct specs . From my research, I've found a reference in an italian forum where a guy recognized the caps as a Panasonic with the following specs

Hi all. I just traded for an electric 1/8 and has a tekin rx8 gen2 esc and I read that it will only handle 7.4v, the battery that came with it is 14.8v is this ok or do I need to find 7.4v lipo?
RX8 v1 or 2 will handle 4S with no problem at all. Actually, this is the voltage 9/10 people use with this esc

Yes go on you tube there`s allot of people there explaining the different voltages and caution you must take when charging and discharging lipos , also you need a dedicated lipo charger , a standard battery charger like a Nimph or nicad charger would catch the lipo on fire , also on the RX8 esc needs to be program to charge on what ever voltage you are going to run on your RC vehicle .
