Hey guys hows it goin. Im having a little problem was wondering if i could get some ideas as to what it is. I have a rx8 with 1900 motor in a mugen eco and sometimes after i land he 6 pack at our track it just stops, i still have steering but no motor. But it all goes again when i ask the marshall to pick it up and drop it again? Any ideas?

@Scotty M I'd start looking at a radio brown out. Smacking any jumps with ANY input to the front wheels can cause a brown out. So what servo? radio system? Do you have a receiver cap now?

Wiggle the posts on the esc, could have a wobbler. If one or more came loose from iron being on too long or a post getting pulled from wiring being too short to long it can cause you to lose power. Then marshal drops it and it makes connection again.

Power switch would be my first guess, the switch has been a common failure fo me since i never mount them properly in a housing that will keep the silver face held in properly.

Im using a airtronics mx3x with an ace 1015 servo. Will have another try wiggling posts and wires tonight, bought 2nd hand all wired up but soldering looks all good. Wouldnt be switch if i can still sit there with steering would it?

No reciever cap installed

Not to disagree with Randy but, i have seen the RX8 save packs from puffing in the Rango. I dont know why but that chassis (and the SCT) seems to be hard on batteries.

Is that simply by people using the current limiter function? I couldn't see how the Durango chassis would cause puffed lipos?

I dunno, seemed odd to me as well, but one local was puffing packs every run (Nanotechs if i remember correctly) without the RX8. I just figured i would toss that out there as maybe a reason why your Rango came with the RX8.

I have been racing the DEX410 for years with a RS Pro , never even swelled a pack . Never heard of others either .
