Like Nexus said, start with low boost settings and go up from there. Being careful to watch for heat issues. Odds are as you add boost you'll need to change gearing.

I'm just curious what you have against running a mod motor?

I don't like how a mod motor drives and don't care for the increased tire ware.. I like the 17.5 and 90% of the time the guys I race I'm faster lap time wise and overall time wise. Heck the stock guys around here are faster than the mod guys . There is like 5 guys that I see which never all show up at same time are bad Johnny s in MOD. So with that being said. I just want that little extra I can get. And I don't need much. Just a little more on the straight really. And around here tracks are not super high bite in my opinion. And on this SP speedo it only has timing to add. I don't see boost? I plan to purchase a 1.1 but is see it's the same settings wise. And for gearing I'll go down a tooth to start. Thanks for the help.

You're motor, which you didn't list, will have more affect on gearing than which esc you run.

RCfun.

Where do you race? We've probably met or know the same people. Also what ESC are you running?

I am having an issue with my reverse not working, I made sure the program is set up for reverse. Is it common or possible for the ESC to stop working in a particular direction? FWD works perfect. I am using a GT 2.1

What profile you running? Did you calibrate your TX to the ESC?

81/22 or 78/23

Not sure what spur you run, but those will get you in the ball park with a 8.5. Just depends on the size track you run, layout, and motor.

With the reventon pro 1.0 or 1.1 you load the stock1 firmware to get hybrid boost turbo.

I had it calibrated before. I had worked fine and I made some changes and added reverse for a practice day. Do I need to recalibrate each time I make changes? I will try that tonight.

If you are just making changes within the same profile..say Stock0 and you adjust drag brake or turn off voltage proctection, no.

If you are changing from Stock0, to Mod2, or other profile yeah I would always recommend re calibrating.
