I say this has been asked 1000 times, but I just picked up a used sc104x4.I'm going to break it down and clean and rebuild it.I was wonder what is a set up for clay track.what diff oils wt to put in? Or if someone know what page to go to that would be a big help.

put in a Reedy 4Pole 540...jeezus, its a land missile! I over-drive the crap out of it, as i over jump and over slide everything suddenly. fun, but will require some tweaking to find the traction needed. Requires no run up on most jumps to clear them...crazy!!! 3 pack old Cdiff for sale if anyone's interested, plus an extra spur, the AE parts, and a Mod1 pinion, if anyone is interested...

but keep in mind this is what i like and the oils might change from track to track and temps to temps. but you need to drive to see what your car is doing then change set-up form there. it is hard to give a base set-up for all clay tracks. so drive then tell what the truck is doing and we can point you in a better direction.
honestly don't know. Heard some rumors but nothing that felt concrete enough to say yes or no. One thing to consider, not sure how much people who had the sc10 4x4 will want to be first buyers this go around unless the truck is showing it will be supported properly by AE. Shouldn't have to rely on aftermarket for something simple as a different toe in block ...
Well I've given up. Been 3 1/2 months plus since they discontinued the SC10 4x4 and not a hint to a new one on the horizon. That means its at least a year away if at all. Getting my Tekno sct410 for x-mas. An old boss told me, "rule in business is to never let your customers go to the competition cause if the like it they will not come back". From what I hearing about Tekno my days with AE are in jeopardy.
