The only changes from the two tanks dimensional wise is the height of the truggy tank thats it. That being said there is a possibility that the original poster of the issue is running the o-rings plus the new grommet that is included on the tank. This would raise the tank up about 4-5mm and cause it to hit the body. For those that don't know the new tank TKR5340B should only use the supplied grommets and hardware to secure it to the posts.

Which mugen pads do you run? The blue ones? And the blue in the picture is the shims you are referring to I suppose? Brakes have been the only part of the buggy I haven't got setup to my liking 100%, they work I just want something more progressive.

Was it a direct fit? No modifications needed? Why did you install the additional guide on the top of the diff housing? I honestly cant complain about the strength or durability of the brakes, my stock brakes have great stopping power when set properly, I am just searching for a more progressive brake, the fuel tubing seemed to help a bit
