I ran somewhere between 1/3-1/2 gallon of fuel through the buggy today and it performed really well. No clutch bearing problems today, maybe I just had a bad one last weekend. The LRC pivot block didnt show (wont get here 'til Monday
) so I wasnt able to run Mo's setup completely and my shock oils were 30-50cst heavier as well (picked up some more oils that are closer).
Revelation was dry all day and ambient temps were 88°. The track was changed up a little bit from a couple weeks ago (either for or right after the Chris Nunez event). The setup soaked up the ruts quite well and will be even better with the lighter oil. You could be very aggressive through the corners and carry a ton of speed on power. Off power, it is fairly loose and is a bit of a handful. I'm not sure how the LRC will effect this but hopefully it tightens up a bit. On power it was very predictable and you could literally put the buggy anywhere you wanted to on track.

I grabbed a losi steel flywheel mo, but I'm hesitant on installing it as I've got used to my linear feel of my current setup, tho maybe I can make it feel even smoother with the steel flywheel and I could lean it out a bit........you dove mine, what's the biggest difference I should expect from that flywheel based on how it felt to you?

glad it worked out for you. the black diff shims do make a pretty big difference. and IMO so does the steel losi flywheel. If you take your center diff apart check to see if the washer is concaved. if it is that means when your getting on power and the fluid is expanding the diff is locking up. making it very loose on power.

Mo,
If i was going to buy this car. What parts would I need to purchase to run your set up? Also what battery pack is everyone running. I have a d812 and a mp9 that im trying decide which one fits my driving style. I want to throw another car into the mix. There are plenty out there but Im leaning towards this car. The K car is silky smooth and very little changing from track to track but the cost of ownership is high and this car wears so fast. Im able to run faster lap times with hb but it jumps like crap and it lacks the corner speed if fix those two things I would be in heaven and there would be no need to try any other car. I have a Mp9E also. I dont run it much but I definitly will be looking into another option for that as well. Every driver at my local track that have made the switch to the electic tekno are faster and are more consistant. It definitly has my interest

and to chime in on opinions of those cars. the D8 12 will get pushed to the back of the list. I drove one and liked it but its not on par with the tekno and kyosho. as far as those 2 it will be on you. the kyosho is fast and easy but its love it or hate it on set up and its like driving a potato chip. tekno if you have ran a lot of cars and raced a lot is a fun car to own. the design is a little different and maintenance on the car is easy which is cool. not to mention its a tank!

So Saturday was the first day out with the nb48 and I had a problem. When ever I would reach full throttle or give it a lot of punch coming out of corners it would flame out. I tried two different engines and they both did the same thing. I am pretty certain I put something together wrong, since I'm so new to nitro. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
