So, my troubles with clutch continue.
Had not so long practice (about 3-4 tanks) with completely new shoes - 2x alu and 2x composite. Here are pics of them after run:

I dont think its normal. I've noticed that inner surface of clutchbell is not smooth at all, its very like damaged brake disc surface on fullscale car - grooved, ribbed and so. Maybe i need to replace my clutchbell instead of new set of shoes per every run?

Looks normal to me. I have found that the smoother I drive. My clutch has less wear. My clutch shoes are ready to be replaced after 3 to 4 race days.
After 2 races I sand down the edges of the shoes and put all back together.
I race 2 weekends a month. Hope this helps.

Have anybody tried the non-vented shock caps. If so, was it better or worst than the stock caps.

Go to your local hardware store and pick up some Muriatic acid. Use a Qtip to apply it to the inside of your clutch bell. It will eat away the Aluminum. When its all clean, spray it out with either nitro spray or brake cleaner. It will look like new.

both the bell and shoes look normal to me as well. You just need to sand down/chamfer the edges of the shoes a bit now to take of the slag, normal maintenance, and you'll be good for another race day... what engine are you running?

By the way, i love those protek sanding pens for sanding my clutch shoes:

I just ordered a set of BUKU composite clutch shoes and was wondering if anyone has experience with these shoes. Are you running 2 different springs like stock or the same spring rate all around. Thanks for any info.

Some ppl says about 3-4gal lifespan of single alu shoe set. My prev alu set held wear a bit more than one gal until something happened and it gone away with a lot of silver powder. So i suppose that something above 2 gal is normal lifespan of alu shoes.
My engine is Picco 5TR team spec with 2099 pipe (smoothest from all picco pipes).
Already ordered new clutchbell, and gonna make some experiments with old one.

going to have to find some of those!! I liked the wear of the Buku adjustable I had but i couldn't get the adjustment right. these would be great! I would probably stick with the 2 and 2 setup for springs. they should feel close to the same as stock but with much longer wear.

A buddy of mine just re built his truggy diffs and found the same thing on the center. has anyone figured out what might be causing this yet?

I assume your talking shims inside the diff. Is there anything that can be done to prevent this from happening until the new ones come out.
