XB8-14 comes standard with LONG 3 stripes so called progressive springs the XB9-13 in second shipment came with MEDIUM length 3 stripes ? so called progressive springs. So yes there is a difference in spring length and so number of coils. But how springs work wether or not they are progressive or linear is a whole different story...........................

Okay, regarding the springs...
The springs are the same part numbers, they appear to only have added the 4-stripe medium and long lengths. I did notice the stripes were wider on the new springs w/ the XB8, but they are the same part number and the same spring rate.
Springs do get worn out after expensive use, maybe you're comparing a new spring with an older spring?

Pictured below are the new 3 stripe xb8 springs on the left and some I purchased a few months ago on the right. You can see the stripe etchings on the top are different and the coil count has changed quite a bit
Here you can see the wire gauge has changed as well.
New 3 stripe xb8
Old 3 stripe xb9
I like the feel of the new strings much better. I always felt the jump from 2 stripe to 3 stripe was a big change before. But now it is not so large

Hi,
I just sold my 808 2011, i am going to buy a used buggy, i saw an xray xb9 2013 spec for 250euro with all hop ups the xb9 can have. Should I wait about 9 months to buy a used xb8 2014 or I will not notice much difference, When I drove an xb9 the first thing I noticed it had a lot more steering than the 808 which helped me do the corners better, I dont know what other things will improve my driving from 808 to xb9. Is it possible to upgrade from xb9 to xb8 2013, The difference I can see is the pivot ball front upper arms from xb9 to xb8 2014.

The Danish distributor just got this engine mount. The first part for a conversion kit?

It's so easy to convert using the XB9E parts that there really is no hurry for them to release a E kit.

if anyone is interested in converting his XB8 into a XB8E and needs the electric parts, let me know.. I want to do the opposite and convert my XB9E in nitro with the specific XB8 nitro parts (at least I hope it's possible)
parts are like new
would the nitro parts from the XB8 fit directly on the XB9E?

Saw this in the Durango prototype, i think it works and may extend servos life also does not compromise the chassis flex set up on the radio tray side.
On the upper part the tray does not moves at all when the brakes are applied.
It can also be adjusted to have a bit of movement by just shortening the link.

I just picked up a B sponsorship from rcamerica and I'm going to order 2 Xb8.'s. 1 would be converted to electric. I already have the Fx engine, which I absolutely love. What is the best starting Setup for low to medium bite tracks? I usually like the low bite setups on most other buggies. Are there any must have option parts that I would need to get. I would rather order everything now and build it with them from the start. Also, does the stock body fit for the ebuggy, or do I need to order a different body? Thanks guys. Sorry for all the questions

About the set up, try the set up the manual says.
It is a good starting point. Maybe just going up on shock oils but it is better if you try it first.
Upgrades:
Hub weights, alu brace for the upper sterring plate.
Aluminum wing posts, center diff carbon plate if you want to.
About the body fitting the e-buggy i dont know, wait for someone who has made the conversion.
