Sorry, i neglected the lid.
Size of the tab is approx 1x19mm, so the thing isn't as straightforward as i thought.

Well i managed another strange brakage on the XB8, it must have fractured some time earlier when running the car because when it broke right through i was just turning a corner and the car didnt turn making me think the radio or battery had given up the ghost.

What pinion gear are you guys using for the xb8 14 with a 1900kv motor?
Also, has anyone tried to fit a kyosho E body on the xray? I have a brand new one that I'm willing to hack up when I get my buggies this week? Lol

I have a 17 th in mine and I'm thinking it needs 18 the gearing in this car is clearly slower than the xb9 or a 45 spur.

Sam that's insane. We tested and tuned all day yesterday and no issues with my car or my buddies. Even the e car took the abuse I put to it

They released a V2 steering post, plastic more durable.

edit, its on the long side of the lid i think the side furthest from the servo as picture above shows servo mount
It reduces the length too. Anything longer than 85mm (85x30x17) will not fit. The 17 may go to 19 but that's it. The protek 2300 Rx batt is about the max that will fit inside with connections etc...

I was going to try a 16t, but I guess that will be way under geared. I was running 16/46 in the kyosho and it was perfect.

I'm going to start with 16t and see how it feels, plus check temperature. What shock oils seem to work best with stock 3 stripe/2 stripe springs?

Try to find a jconcepts Illusions body for the 808, that seems to fit well. I am using it on an XB9E with 2013 chassis which is wider, using a ROAR Genace 5000MAH hardcase battery, no shims, etc. Just cut it conservatively along the sides until you got the right length you need. You dont want to have an Ebuggy in a mini skirt.
