I wish I paid that for it. ebay item # 280905099027, these are 2500 mah, not 1500 like HK. I wish I had done the mod and saved the money like Eddie 10. Can you provide more info on that battery Eddie10?

I find it hard to understand how HK rates the Turnigy Ni-Zn AA's at 1500Mah and the ebay place you got yours from lists them at 2500MWh. I doubt its a typo but if its the same as mah, how do you fit more mah in the same package like a AA battery? The battery would have to be heavier and larger as such, no?

I know it sounds a bit nit-picky, but in physics (and math, basically) there's a huge difference between "m" (="milli"=0.001) and "M" (="mega"=1,000,000).

Now back to topic: mAh and mWh are not 1:1 the same... but since Amps times Volts equals Watts (P=U*I), you could also use mWh as capacity (although I have never seen it on batteries before)... but you may not compare the numbers directly! You'd have to multiply the mAh with the voltage to get to a mWh number. In this example, you'd have to calculate with a voltage of 1.66V to get from 1500mAh to 2500mWh, which doesn't sound all that wrong to me (although it is a bit misleading, using mWh instead of the common mAh, just to have some bigger numbers... might even call it a cheap trick).

So no difference between those batteries and the Turnigy ones at HK....makes sense. Its all how you advertise.

Then I guess the HK ones are the way to go and save some money in the process. But the best route is the Life battery for sure.

But why is that? The Nizn AA's will give 6.6V fully charged and of course you can re-charge them countless times. No modification necessary....

Regardless, I ordered a set last nite....4+1 spare and charger....$18 shipped.
I'm confident they'll work great but we'll see how they compare to the "Bunny" batteries.

Mine fully charged show 7.1 volts on both radios I own, DX3S and DX4R. They both really light up on the better charge. The Life is better because it lasts usually for a month on a charge, nice, and costs less, but you have to pull the tray out and solder two wires, and foam pack the battery so it doesn't move around.

I just slapped some 2300 mah Energizer NiMh in there and I was around 5.5 v most of the day. I think I was 5.7 v when I turned it on and then it fell to 5.5v and pretty much stayed there.

Are you guys seeing some kind of issues running between 5-5.5 volts? I was running at 4.6v with alkaline batteries that were 6 weeks old with no issues. Can't imagine why I would have issues over 5.0v

Also any word on the firmware update? Is it worth doing if I don't have that new receiver

Ok guys, just got this as my first high end Radio system. I was using a stock Traxxas TQi with docking base prior to this.

How do you set up the A-F buttons?

Expo: if you want to slow down steering would you apply + or - expo? (Same with Throttle)

Any other tips/tricks I should know? I'm going to do my best to read thru this post in the meantime.
