a multimeter confirms it's accurate.
it's the only battery of the 8 I have with that kind of reading.

I'd say it has about 25-30 cycles give or take. I never kept track of it. it slowly starting getting worse and worse. today I went to storage charge it and that's how it was.

Ran my first SMC battery and motor over the weekend. It ran unbelievably well! TQed and finished second in the main after not racing for 6 months. Thanks Danny for the great setup.

Is it normal for a one month old battery (2 of them) to balance to 8.38/8.39 volts? Just want to make sure if it's normal or not?

That probably has more to do with the charger than the pack. What are you using? Does it charge other packs to 8.4v?

I also have the same X4 charger and have a SMC saddle pack only hitting 8.18v. All other SMC packs are at about 8.40v. Also only about 20 charges on it. No puffing on the pack.

I have an SM-1 8.5 motor, can you rotate the endbell so the sensor plug is offset from the solder tabs.

Nope that's the only thing about the motor but sure does make for some tidy wiring

Thats the only thing I didn't like about it, but like ghost said, makes you reroute so it's nice and tidy.

The shortys obviously are lower mah then the other 70c stick packs, you need to work out how much mah you use currently and check, personally I'd say the shorty will fine.

Chinese New Year is almost over, I'd be confident they won't be long, WIGMAN will post actual dates but I'd say around 2weekd tops.

Default ROAR approved

Hey I hope someone can answer this for me. I am planning to enter a traveling series that specs ROAR approved batteries. I have a couple of SMC batteries and think the product is outstanding in performance and value. The current batteries I have are not listed as ROAR approved. So I am looking to purchase a few batteries that are ROAR approved and want to stay with the SMC brand. I see on the SMC website that there are several selections that will work for my applications that state "ROAR approved", however, are not listed on the ROAR battery list as approved. Is this due to the ROAR list not being up to date...or are the batteries not actually approved? What type of proof would I need to supply the tech inspectors/race director that the batteries are actually approved?
