OOh interesting, I wasn't aware that Danny had done a stock motor yet. I'm really enjoying my Speed Passion MMM 17.5 but I'll have to think about these when I get another 17.5 motor.

Interesting that they differ in design (SS-1 vs SM-1) from the modified motors. I wonder how say the 10.5 SS-1 is different from the 10.5 SM-1. The only stock class in my area is 17.5 so it doesn't really impact me but these sort of things interest me.

B4.2. Another plus to it being a great motor is the sensor wire port being up and out of the way. Nice touch and and it's a lot harder for another ride to hit and pull out. I used to run SP V3 Competition motors and the D3.5 and this are faster. I've never run the MMM so I can't compare it to that.

What performance difference is there between say a 10.5T SM (12.3 rotor) and SS (12.5 rotor)?

a larger rotor typically has less rpm and more torque.

Thanks Wildcat. I went and ordered a 13.5 SS-1 to put in my B5. Should receive the buggy tomorrow. Hopefully the motor won't be too far behind.

I did. Check the top of the page. Great motor and it's hooked up to a Justock speedo.

it seems to like timing in the 40*~55* and a gear ratio of about 5.25~5.45 on a med~large track last couple of practice sessions it was coming off the track at 130* after 7mins or so... and it has plenty of grunt down low Pretty damn quick too...Great motor for the price!!!
