SMC LIPO BATTERY THREAD
#2941
The motor thread died about the time Danny was banned from posting here. If you have motor questions feel free to post them here. I am currently running his new 13.5 Motors in my 22T and 22SCT, I have an 8.5 in my other 22SCT and a 6.5 in my new 22-4. I think they run great and I like the price even more.
but i was thinking about getting a 17.5 ro run in touring car. im not lucky enough to have any good stock style off road here. everything is open mod.

i have a question for you battery gods. We are looking at a lipo right now that spark every time it plug into the car. now i checked mine no spark at all. but on his one pack he get a spark every time from the positive side. these will happen in 4 cars his one then my 3 cars. now i have the same lipo also but i never get a spark. i charged it on my charger and balance it. still did the same thing. Is this a bad thing and if so what is the cause. i already changed the deans connection on the lipo. and still a no go.
I wouldn't worry about it anyway as it's just making a connection, once you get very close to touching the current will jump the very small gap between the plugs to make the connection, this is what the spark is...

sounds like its because the caps are pulling current. they are prolly out of the loop of the switch ? same thing as hooking up a car amp, they will spark when you put in the power wires because the caps are dead. if you un plug the battery and plug it back in does it still do it? if what im saying is the case and the caps still have some charge then it most likely wouldn't spark.
