Yea i ran the shorties at race em and they feel pretty good. Im running it with the lipos all the way forward. I do have a slight push with it. Im going to order a hard servo saver spring before i decide to change the set up.

Yup, that's what I have in mine.

The hard ss spring does help. Not sure it'll completely cure the push but it's def a good upgrade.

Do any other bodies other than the stock and avenger fit the buggy? Any of the bulldog bodies?

I am running the same motor and yes it fits fine. I am not aware of a semi-painted Avenger body yet, just the stock, but I could be wrong as there is an SRX one I was not aware of either.

Not really. Way back in this thread someone had gotten a Losi body to work, but it did not hug the chassis correctly. I'd go stock or Avenger depending on if you want cab forward or not.

Just jumped on the serpent wagon! So far in this build ive noticed one thing. Binding in the front bulkhead. The diagram from the shim placement was hard to read. Any tips?

Gear mesh you mean? If yes it will go away after the first few runs.

If I take the front wheels and spin them forward its not smooth its really gritty. No electronics in car yet.

Welcome to the madness. Now I have to get you using Speed Passion.

Mine was tight per instructions. I did a trial and error with shimming. After my first few packs it's all smoov.

2 things, remove the retaining screw on the gear side(I don't feel you need it), and loosen the lower diff case screws, i even run a .5mm shim to keep the case from squeezing the diff when assembled.

I've built 3 of these and it has always been the same and In the rear I run 2 shims (0.1mm ea) on the pinion and no shims in the front pinion and mine was pretty smooth out of the box. That's without loosening diff cases and such like. After about 4-5 hrs on the car the gear mesh is still spot on and generally the transmission is a smooth as silk! Enjoy the car it's awesome.

Can someone help by explaining to me the differences between all the different suspension brackets? I have the serpent 1/8 rtr ebuggy and recently broke one of the rear cheap plastic ones that came stock. (600551 -$6) I've always been a firm believer of you brake it, you upgrade it. So what in the world is the difference between the 3 other machined options? They are all the same price on serpentamerica so I don't know how to decide, and they all seem to be the same. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
