You need a lot more than upper deck, 44.1 chassis, and shorter rear dog bone -- if you you are trying to convert a 44.2 to 44.1.

You need the battery holding hardware as well -- which can be pricey for the graphite.

You need the old slipper as well, since the new 3 piece doesn't fit. You need the top deck/slipper cover as well to my knowledge. If you look at Neil's car, you will see many of the items you need.

Well, thanks for that info. Exactly what I was trying to figure out. Maybe that's why George said I need the Triad slipper? I had assumed that was a personal preference thing but I guess not.

Or....you can run the buggy straight out of the box and win races.

my b44.2 has butt tons of steering. I could maybe use the extra weight from the alum, but thats about it. If the class takes off here, I might pickup the avid chassis.

b44.1 rollers are dirt cheap. Buy the roller, convert yours to short chassis and keep the rest of the car as spare parts. win/win

The B44.1 is already the short chassis. All you need is big bore shocks. Or as W.Cherry said earlier you could keep the small bores for more pack.

lol. I am sorry but this going back to the b44.1 because the b44.2 is bad just cracks me up. Not saying people are wrong, just funny.

Yes Cherry... You're at the forefront of chassis design and setup. Copying something thAt was used for one race and one extreme condition does not qualify. Maifield still runs +8 and big bores. Maybe he should give you and your "team mates" a call so he can finally start winning a race or two.

I am sure the guys at TRCR and Cherry could teach Maifield a thing or two.
