Well I must say the avid chassis made a huge improvement. Car was great today. Seemed to take out the twitchy feeling

Same here. Ran mine Friday night for the first time with the Avid chassis on an outdoor track and the buggy was much improved. Very stable and easy to drive.

@keyesgood

I run a 81/21 gear ratio in my B44.2 with a tekin 6.5t gen 2 motor. It's plenty fast with boost & turbo timing, And it is stone cold after a race (120-140f). If I were you I would go to a 18 to 19t pinion gear as a 5.5t will get hotter then a 6.5t Just my .02c

That is very interesting. I am running 81/18 with my Ballistic 6.5t with timing and am hitting 160F after 5 mintes. Given your experience I may try higher gearing.

After selling my Ofna Hyper ten I missed 4wd racing. After the B5 was realeased I was hoping for a new B55 and it's years off after listening to a interview recently. I just bought a new b44.2 and I'm upgrading it to a B54.

Cody Numedahl interview

List of parts

B5 arms front and rear
Schelle chassis
Schelle Nova
Schelle shorty pack conversion 45 days out

Reliably mostly I have hit hard with my b5 cars and never broke an arm. Another plus is having universal parts for all three cars. Typically 1/2 the 4wd class breaks before finishing the race! If I can finish I can get top 5 at our track lol. Plus I like to have something a little different, maybe I should have assembled the car stock first so I have something to compare it with.

I will be changing out to the B5 HD ball ends and ball cups this week.

I was looking to change the rear arms and hubs to the B5 pieces as well and it looks like it fits! The B5 rear axles and bones work at full plunge? Any mods to the arms to fit the suspension mounts? Curious to see if the front arms allow full turn of the front tires.... Keep us posted please!

I found it better for me to buy a new car and buy parts off of ebay. Arms are hard to find I have a surplus of them that are going to ebay. I'll have lots of stock parts for sale!

The b5 CVA inners are 1mm longer and the bone side doesn't fit nicely so the diffs will need to be slightly clearanced. Currently using B44 inner cva's. The rear arms need about 1/2 millimeter off the front and back inner hinge pin.

So I'm assuming you had to shave the rear arms to fit since they are wider inside?
