The AE FActory Team B44.2 Thread

It was posed a little while ago and I think the AE site has the list.
You can also pick up the Avid chassis and their .1 to .2 conversion kit... there is also a spacer for the slipper I think if you are going to keep the 2 pad slipper.
Of course the big bore shocks from AE as well.

If you want to keep the v2 2 pad slipper or the avid triad you do not need the spacer with the conversion kit. It comes with a longer rear center drive shaft & top plate along with an extra set of holes in the chassis to fit either fit either the conversion or the standard .2 parts. You only need the spacer in a full .2 with a triad or v2 slipper.

Thats exactly what I am running, I call it my B44.1-1/2 lol but I like the feel of the +8 chassis so I will eventually change over to the factory 44.2 setup, its only a few parts and can be found on ebay for much cheaper than the Avid chassis setup. (The BB's are the costliest part of the conversion, glad I already have those!!)

I prefer the garodisk from rcshox.com. It took some breaking in (its not supposed to, but mine did), but after a few packs I got it dialed in & never have to touch it again. It never glazes, never needs maintenance & never wears out. I've been running one on my b4 for almost a year & have never done anything to it. Anything I ever drive with a slipper will always have one.

i have the gariodisk too and it is a good product. i stopped running it because i could feel it had to warm up?. it was not consistent untill i had a few laps through it to get it warm im guessing. so on a 6 minute run... it didnt feel right untill about minute 2. overall a very awesome product, on a micro 6 minute level.. not consistent enough, especially when you only get 1 - 2 practice laps before the race.

Being as their factory drivers are consistently running 410 Gear Diff's, I'm sure Associated is either looking to do just that or wait until a new 4WD is released and introduce Gear Diffs then. Those would then be an optional upgrade for the 44.2.

Maybe thats what I was experiencing, rather needing to break in. I used to take 1-2 warm up laps. I have been taking more warm up laps as of late due to switching between different vehicles in one day. The last several races I have been waiting for the previous race to end & taking 5-6 warm up laps before the race starts & it has felt really good.
