I hate the ballast. I stayed with the stock setup and laid the front shocks down, and forward holes on the Ackerman. I have a JC steering rack I need to install and 2 crap diffs I need to rebuild. I run on a tight track with several tight turns/180s and I end up running both diffs looser than most.
Rear hubs are almost always middle, or all the way back.

I wouldn't go through all that trouble.
I had the same issue with the rear CVAs popping out. I fixed it by making sure that the bottom plastic ball cup things were screwed in all the way. Also make sure you have at least one 0.030" spacer inside the shock to limit the droop.
If they are popping out then there's something wrong with the setup.

Straight from Ty Tessmen's Dad,"It was a horrible design from Associated. It just needs spacers to keep the rear CVA from popping out."

That was me. At the time Thomas didn't have parts in stock and couldn't get any so I mailed him the parts and he deducted the cost from the total. Anyone interested should email him first since he told me he had quite the waiting list from orders as soon as he could get parts. Haven't heard anything about him not making them anymore.

When I see people have this problem, it's almost always the shock rod end not being installed all the way. If you build the shocks right, shim everything properly and put the shocks in the right place you'll have no issue.
If you try to run your front shocks in the inner hole on the arm you will need to add limiters under the piston.
Take your time and double check your work, that's what I do.(sometimes I get it right on the first try, lol)
