Some quick measurements...

70.7 - 8 on a 2100 and 1800

Again I don't have a Serpent 811, but I am interesting in buying one. If these SP motors don't fit I'll be buying another buggy. I will see if anyone local has one I can test fit a a 2100 or 1800kv.

edit: I did call Serpent America (Desoto?) and whoever answered said the car was designed to fit all 1/8 motors up to 71mm.

OK had to research this myself. Our Speed Passion Blaze was designed to ROAR spec so it should fit. I also found this picture of a 811 w/ the 2450 sensored Blaze

Plus that is a 2450 pictures which is sensored. The 1800 you are choosing is sensorless so you won't have to worry about routing that sensor wire or making space for it.

Anyone had issues with breaking the shock shafts at the piston mounts? I run webbed bladders and think that might have something to do with it. 3rd rear shaft i have broke in that manner. This one actually ruined my rear shock body when it broke...

Hmmm never broke any webbed or not. Are the bottom shock eyelets screwed on all the way far enough? Hence it would push it into the bladder.

Now I have a question. Has anyone ran the 1.0 like me, and switched to the 2.0 upgrade for the rear? What did you notice and is it worth it?

Thanks

Thanks. The previous pictures show the Speed Passion Blaze so it should be fine.

I spoke with one of the Factory Serpent drivers last week. He basically said the 1.0 is be ok on high bite , bu t the 2.0 is all around better and easier to drive.

I should have my 2.0 this week and be visiting LHR.

That normally happens when some hits you from behind or you crash and land down on the actually shock. It didn't happen on the 1.0 because it was impossible for the shock to come in contact with anything. Also make sure you are not running full droop or it has a greater chance on happening.

Very soon a new shaft with a nut will be available and we won't have the issue anymore.

When i get the parts probably tomarrow i am going to pay more attention when i put it back together. I was fairly certain my droop settings prevented the shock from hitting the bottom of the body. I will need to verify it can't hit the webbed bladder as hard either. Infact i may do what i had to do in my old losi cartridge shocks and put old O-rings on the bottom of the shaft both inside and outside just to be safe. That prevented those stupid losi cartidges from exploding off the bigs jumps, and should prevent the shocks from hitting hard when parts flex and it over extends the droop settings.

Those o-rings shouldn't be enough to change shock limiting with the droop settings. I will have to verify to be sure and post it up.

So instead of the hollow shaft where the screw goes there will be solid and threaded?

yes plz.

I have had this car since early may, the ONLY thing i have broke are shock shafts. That new shaft would fix what IMO is the only weakness this car has. any eta? or pics? or other information you probably can't give out yet?
