This is the one I have been using with success so far!

I just have added a little weight around since I use a TINY shorty, esc behind the battery in the tray, and a few hop-ups.

This is a good setup guide for med bite track. It also goes good thru ripples and bumpy tracks.

ok, I know this is not the tekin thread, but those fan boys drive me nuts. So i am looking for information from someone that has run this esc/motor in their b4 and compare it to the orion/HW/Viper line of esc's. I have talked to a few people but they only used the old tekin rs. I can get a tekin RS gen2 with 17.5 new for about $170. So the price is very good. I have been kinda wanting to try the new gen2 tekin because its supposed to be better on the throttle and brakes. But does it fall below the Orion/HW line of esc's still? I just want opinion from people that have run both. No orion or tekin fan boys please, just the performance facts please.

I run a Novak GTB2 and personally to me it is the smoothest esc I have run. But if I were buying an ESC just for stock buggy racing, a HW JuStock would be the esc I would choose 50$ with shipping from hobbypartz.net

It does everything you need it to do, and it is cheap.

To answer your question though, I have tried the genII rs, and it still has the on/off switch feel of the old RS to me. It just isn't as smooth as I want. But it is nice looking in that white

yeah, I was looking at the justock also. and its the same price and free shipping from HWNA with a warranty. Currently I am running the SP gt 2.0 pro. And I like them. I thought the HV bec and the datalogger might be fine. I used to run Vipers and kinda miss them. I can get suck good prices on the tekins, but the non fans boys seem to say the same thing, binary feel. Oh well. Thanks for the input.

I ran the old tekins and they werent nearly as smooth as the lrps that I had be running like all the fan boys were saying they were. I currently run the orion r10 pros and all I can say is you cant go wrong with them. Smooth, reliable, and dont need a laptop to program them at the track.

I have had 2 rs pros and a rs. have changed every setting known to man, and just never could get them smooth enough for my liking. They are durable and reliable, with great support, but not for me personally.

I run vipers in every thing I have. So I am kinda partial to them. But they have good pricing on them at the viper site. I got a vtx10be and vst 13.5 for 175. Look under the imfar pricing.

I have run Tekin RS Pro, Speed Passion Reventon Pro, LRP Flow and Novak GTB 2 and the best esc by far was (and is) my Novak GTB 2. now Im not a "novak fanboy" or anything as I have had other brands of electronics but their acceleration and braking are incredibly smooth. I absolutely love it, and its a great spec esc for any of you 17.5 guys. the only issue and i mean the ONLY issue with novak stuff is that they have a tendency to burn up. and Ive had that happen but novak got me a new esc within a week and a half. The price of their stuff isnt as much as some of the more well known or used brands but they are just as good if not better. I recommend novak to anyone looking for a smooth esc.

My ESC is prettier than yours....

+1 for Novak, great feel and excellent adjustability without the need for anything to plug in.
