Doesn't make much business sense, and it would not bode well with their customer base. Just sayin'
For the same reason they gave us the V2 shocks right before the big bores.

I don't know if anyone saw my post a little way back but I'll try again. Yesterday I put in the AVID centering kit and now my buggy is around 15gr heavy on the right front and 4gr on right rear. Also I have the esc on shelf , the only thing on right side is a 4pks receiver ( very light ) everything else is centered. Also I took it apart and cleaned everything so I know its not dirt causing the problem, also checked shock collar height with calipers. Any help would be great.

I hope it is only minor changes that can be easily updated.

Well if Cliff said "it" bought them time, meaning the c4.2. I would read into that that there is indeed a new B5 coming that can convert to mid/rear. Assuming... of course.

i mean other companies have proven they got the best front end in the business, multiple cars using it. everything is solid on the b4, i just think the alu chassis is the "next step" in terms of getting a MM/RM car.

i know awhile ago i was toy'n with the idea of making a alu/cf chassis for it using old GT2 parts....

Here's my exact setup (attached). As I said before, the rear end is very loose.

Nobody in the mod class at my local track runs anything slower than an 8.5. I wouldn't have a problem running 10.5 but then I'd be at a disadvantage. Anyway, I set my esc to blinky with the 7.5 which tamed the power quite a bit but still no better handling. I ran 17.5 all last year and I felt like I am now at a point where I should be running mod.

I'd start with moving your rear shock in on the bottom and dropping to a green spring. Many like green F/R with 32.5/30

Undo those changes you made to the camber links and wheelbase.

I guess I should clarify when I say closeout, its in the web specials. Which from past experience current kits go there when they get replaced.

Have you tried CC in the rear? And if your on a high bite track, the c-hub with the shaved brace might give you the added side bite you want. I mention the CC in the rear, because maybe the tire is deforming coming out of the corner under power.

Where are you seeing the B4.2 on special? All I see is the web special B4.1 with Big Bore shocks. Please provide link.
