well roar minimum is 1499 in full race trim, but 1485 without body sounds about right.

Thanks for the confirmation, I thought 1500g was the number...I also didn't imagine that I was anywhere near it with this car as there really aren't all that many trick lightweight parts on it. I mean I'm running the Yabia U Brace, that's heavier than the stock plastic for sure. It seems like many run some weight in the front though and I am not there so maybe I add some up front.

It will be interesting to see where my 17.5 comes out as it has some Ti hinge pins and screws, and the stock U brace. I guess I may have to add some weight.

LF - 206g
RF - 220g
LR - 459g
RR - 463g

I haven't measured my spring collars yet, I'll do that shortly...honestly I should have cleaned it a bit first too as there is some dirt build up. Also noticed that my LR shock is leaking where all the others are pretty good.

Edit: so I think I need to rethink my measurement technique as my total weight by adding those numbers is 1348g and when I measure the total weight it is 1485g. And to add to that...does it make sense that I'm at 1485g without the body? Thought I should be heavier...didn't bring the body to work so I'm not sure what it weighs.
well my bodies weight bout 50-55g so i would say your scales at work are off... if you added the centering kit(weight), and added the esc shelf(weight), without the body you should be heavier than before so either your scales at work are off or something other has changed between then and when you weighed it last

Um...no ESC shelf...it's in the tray. But yes I see what you are saying, I thought it would weigh more. Scale is a brand new postal scale that claims to have been calibrated.

Edit: Just weighed my iPhone 5 on our lab's scale which is accurate to the mg and got 140.873g, put it on the postal scale I used for the car and got 141g so I would say it's pretty good.

did you only use one scale? to weigh all four corners

yes...I know that's not the best method but that's all I got. I used blocks to hold the other wheels at the same height as the deck of the scale.

ya theres your problem gotta find 4 scales to weight 4 tires, or else each time its shifted weight can be different and like i said before the buggy isnt 4wd so the front to rear weight isnt important the left to right weight is however either front left to front right and rear left to rear right or left side vs right side of the car

Depending on your scale the phone can mess with the magnets and cause a false reading, so may not be the best standard. Many will come with a 100g calibration weight, nickels are also commonly used as they weight exactly 5g.

for static weight balance it's best to take the springs out of the equation using a hard plastic tube or really anything that fit. Then can put them back on adjust the preload at each wheel, but I usually don't go that far and just make them even on both sides.

Also if you plan to run roar races you will need a esc shelf, esc in the battery tray is illegal.

Also to note, the b4.2 is almost underweight from the factory.

I'm not good enough to bother with the few ROAR races I could actually get to. I do have a shelf for my 17.5 which is what I would run if I did get to a ROAR race so...

There is a scale with 4 platforms right? I've been searching, anyone got a link?

The centro looks legit but hows it doing in Tacoma? I heard scotty has one.
Also is the centro running standard saddle packs or the larger 1s packs?
It's running pretty good. 5-6 of us have them right now. Pretty dang dialed durring the races when traction is up. I didn't have as much fun the other morning I went to practice. Dusty an slick is not favorable. Most are using the regular saddle packs. Dion and I are using the shoty packs

Centro guys are dialing in , with time the car is going to get more refined & faster.

EXPO on the throttle

Many use to tame the power in mod , if you do never use more then -10% .

I tell those who are learning mod don't use.

To much negative expo ruins the feel & control for part throttle . Only makes it harder to clear small jumps & the bigger jumps as well .

Get use to the power , don't saw at the trigger is my recommendation instead ...

Hideeho
Putting the ESC in the tray is not necessarily against the rules. Gluing it in, screwing it in or fixing it or anything else in the tray permanently is against the rules. If it is in with servo tape or Velcro it is within the rules. BUT, there are cases (some at the same race) where the "shorty" rule has been applied differently from 1 car to the next.

Well mine is taped in...but I did do the mod where you use a toe block as a hard stop for the battery. That can come out with 2 screws though and I can just stick a thin foam spacer in there.

And right...look at the HB D413...you can set it up for shorty or saddle but you have to do more than change some foam around to make the switch. Interesting interpretation.

FYI

If you have a Spectrum radio positive numbers is less throttle at the hit. Learned this the hard way.. I run as much as +40 at times..

What Cherry said above too..
