I run a 1900 and it is a great motor. I see no need for the 2050, but have not tried one. I also do not run on huge tracks. Any medium size track or smaller the 1900 is plenty.

Default Custom voltage cutoff

Anyone else having the issue of the custom voltage not staying where you set it? For example: I set it 3.6, hit apply and I'm good. Hook Hotwire up again sometime later and the dashboard shows it as being set to 4s.

That's because your setting the voltage incorrectly. The voltage you set it for the total pack not per cell, ie 3.2 volts per cell x 4 =12.8 volts. That's what you would set your lipo cut off to.
As soon as you hooked up a 4s pack it sensed that 3.6v was to low and set itself back to the 4s default.

The RX8 doesn't auto detect voltage. If you are setting the cut off on a custom, you have to set it for total pack voltage, not per cell. The 6 preset are 3.2/cell.

Ok I was half right LOL. Maybe I'm wrong but I thought the instructions said the default was 3.0v per cell

So I got my combo in the mail today! I took it and and stared it for a while trying to figure out how I'm gonna position everything, pulled out the old soldering iron and went to work. Only burned my self once, on the very last solder! (I was explaining to the gf, how the soldering iron is very hot...and to be careful...lol fail) It looks great, feels great, sounds great, I will race tomorrow, and see how she does.

We changed it on the newest firmware for the GEN1 and GEN2, just to be on the safe side.

Hi all big brothers... I just got myself a Team C GT8LE. I am coming for a Green monster.

My friend have the same car and he use the Tekin T8 truggy 1550kv motor as our track is long and we need the torque to pull high gearing and cooler temp as well.

I want to get the Gen2 T8 1550 combo. But base on the spec given by Tekin.

Truggy t8 Gen1 can length is 76mm
Truggy t8 Gen2 can length is 77mm

This 1mm different is alot to me as my friend's GT8 Gen1 motor is very CLOSE to the steering stand post. I am afraid I will be rubbing the Gen2 if the chassis have flex or something.

Anyone who have BOTH Gen1 and 2 can you please tell me if the length of the can really have 1mm different? Or the 1mm different is the sensor connector extended further out than the Gen1?

From my understand, both Gen1 and Gen2 use the same can just different internal stuffs and color. Please correct me if I am wrong...

Yeah, why not throw it up on play store. You can always update as needed, we could even set it to auto update. Throw a disclaimer up that it's in testing but use it if you want.

Im surprised that those candy apple red esc cases have not shown up here on tech yet!
randy, were they for your rides? I'm sure im opening another can of worms on the colored esc cases! I personally dont care if they are white or black! my white ones i took a sharpie and colored in TEKIN logo and the a b c and - + on case also (old eyes) lol
I can see some painting all these wild colors and running a clear body to see the esc! lmbo!

+1

The whole reason behind me deciding to race for this company is because of how they treat their customers and that they supply a quality product and are there back it up.

It has been and is an honor to be a part of it all.

I wonder what...say...10 points of drag brake in hotwire correlates to of drag brake in quick mode? Hmm
(I put 10 in with the hotwire but don't bring a laptop to the track....so if I change it with quick mode I'm not sure how to know if I'm going more or less than the 10 I put in with hotwire...unless I just make some laps of course) ?
