question on shimming of the center diff. my EB48 has the variety of shims between the outdrive cup and the bearing as shown in the older manual, but the spider gears don't have the shims.
What determines if it needs to have the shims between the outdrive cup and bearing on the center diff? I want to know if I can remove these.

Bag A in the manual shows TKR5112 then a bunch of shims, then a bearing before going on to the spur gear. At least, that is what my printed manual shows.
Online, the current manual doesn't show this. I am wondering what changed on the vehicle so you don't have to use these shims. From that info, I can determine if I can remove the shims.

With all due respect, that was the one thing i would have liked to have seen on the eb48.2. I feel a new beefier motor mount would be a great idea and would greatly benefit the et48 as well. I would definitely order a new XT motor mount if it was available. Only problem with the stock mount is it develops a little bending on the lower lip of the mount. The only two things needed to make this kit as great as i can be are a new motor mount and maybe a spring steel driveshaft.

I thought they looked the same. I couldn't tell the difference but i wasn't really looking. You could always depth mic the bore or just dry fit everything and see if you can get the shims in. The bore should be about .6mm or .023 (ref) shallow if it's the new compared to the old. I could see it if i looked (that's what i do for a living) average person, probably not

On another note, because the EB48.2 pictures reminded me, does Tekno have a deal with Tekin? The original EB pics had the mamba monster but now all Tekno kits have Tekin systems?

Can anyone say the purpose (benefit) of the HD Servo Saver Spring?
I have had what seems to be an intermittent centering problem, where I find that I need to adjust my steering trim from time to time. I have isolated it as to NOT be the servo itself. Everything seems free of binding. Wondering if it just needs a stronger spring or perhaps crank down on the existing spring a little more.

I have a first release EB48.
Just picked up (2) new TKR6008 for a shock rebuild and noticed that there is a new group of two molded pieces on the tree.
The parts are:
---- upper shock bushing (2)
---- internal o-ring spacer (2)
---- internal o-ring spacer (2)
---- shock piston (2)
---- bottom piece of cartridge assembly (longer, redesigned)
---- UNKNOWN (2)
Unless the questioned pieces are an updated upper shock mount bushing, I'd like to know what the piece is.
Note: the URL above is the 'old' TKR6008.
Thanks
