Was just thinking wouldn't the truck be pretty off balance with the short packs? Or are they better balanced then the full size packs which are pretty heavy. Can some of u guys running the short packs give me some feedback? Are they better cuz u can move them back and forth for weight distribution? Or are they too light and the full size packs balance the truck better?

Track is prob like 40 50ft by 30ft I'm thinking. I have no idea where to start with anything, help me out guys like diff oils? spur pinion? gonna use the stock springs I guess cuz there soft and its low to med traction track. Pistons I want to try the Fioroni's or the Competition Suspension Pistons they should and better be awesome for 48 bucks. I know some of u guys are running them, the F's what oil weight would u suggest for low to med traction track and what springs? Anyone trying Avid or Kyosho springs? Thanks guys.
I ran the SMC 6500 at my small 13s-15s lap track with 6 min heats and it was holding up ok. Will have first chance to run at a big outdoor this weekend.

Ya, this local track was a monster on batteries. We were puffing 4s packs in our 1/8 stuff. The Serpent's were really chewing threw packs. That was 3 or 4 lap warm up and a 7 min heat. I was running the Tenshock SC411 5200kv, but it is no longer with us lol

The truck is already light on the battery side with a full stick pack so I don't think you want to go with a shorty ..

Thanks man, I have no idea what the different diff oils even do lol. That's sad but like I said its my first 4wd anything and I just been reading this thread as much as possible to figure out what I need and stuff. And this whole droop thing is also something new to me? I basically get what it is, Its setting it that I'm thinking about, let me guess more money for a Huddy set of blocks and whatever else is needed with them.

For droop you don't need anything special or huddy blocks.... I use a regular digital caliper for measuring droop length. You measure center eyelet to center eyelet.

At mike in Dallas you can probably run full droop. Just make sure your droop is even between left and right. I personally like running full droop everywhere.....

I never got why we measure droop eyelet to eyelet. What happens when you change shock locations. Yes droop will stay the same because of the stopper screws, but if you need to adjust it it will be different that the initial setting.

Dam... I haven't even used that much at the K&B track, I think the most I've used there was like 4800, maybe 5000 for a 8min Main

+1 that's why I use hudy blocks and droop gauge now

There is a screw on the 410 that locks the droop in? Is it located on the A arms? And this is only something u set on a vehicle that is made to set it correct? Like my Losi 22 SCT I don't set droop on that correct?
