Can you elaborate on how to set the cutoff voltage via hotwire? I've looked and can't quite seem to find it. I just see the 2s, 3s, 4s, etc. I've been wanting to do this for quite some time but have never figured out how.

No these are not waterproof. In those conditions we recommend boxes, etc.

The BEC is awesome but 2 HV servos in a 1/5 in all honesty should be on a stand alone BEC or receiver pack.

While the fan isn't required in most 1/8 buggy cases lower voltage setups like 2s 4wd SC do often require the fan for longer mains, etc.

A taller heatsink could help but no where near as well as the fan.

Put the slider all the way up and it will go to custom and you can pick the voltage (per pack, not per cell) that you want it to cut off at.

Under the voltage cutoff setting if you arrow up one more time past 6s it will enter the custom cutoff setting where a set of numbers will appear with a red set of arrows beside it. Use the arrows to set the TOTAL voltage in which you wish the cutoff to take place. Apply settings once finished.

Cool! Is that something new as I was told you needed the hotwire to set actual custom cutoffs (ex- say 14.9V or something odd ball)

Hideeho
I have a question about motor temps. I am running an rx8g2 w/ t8 2050 in an Agama A8 Evo geared 16/43. I have the stock 4.33:1 satalite gears, stock front ring & pinion (10/45), but under drive (9/45) rear ring & pinion. I just got a new lipo (SMC 6500mah 70c 4s w/ ec5). I had not run for a while before getting the SMC, so I just ran some laps to get back into the groove. I pulled the buggy off, I got tired of running & didn't hit lipo cut off which is set @ 3.2v/cell, after 42 minutes of running! The motor temp on the can was 193* (not really worried about the temp as it is VERY reasonable after the 10-15 minutes we actually race), & the ESC was showing 4 dots. I had always been under the impression the the motor temp would platue in temperature after a certain amount of time. Was this extreme run time past that platue or does it just keep getting hotter the longer you run it?

The motor temp generally hits a high end around the 15 minute mark but mind you most of us aren't running past that time period. I've done an hours straight with battery swaps never hitting more than 220f in a Losi buggy.

Default No reverse delay

With my rx8 in BL F/R it has no reverse delay the brakes are reverse. I noticed the same problem with rs and rs pro. How do you get reverse delay from these Tekin esc's? Thanks

Set it to Motor Type 3 or to BL/DL in the HotWire. BL F/R is forward to immediate reverse for rock crawlers.

Guys, I accidentally ran my truck off into a huge puddle of mud and had all the internals caked in mud. I waited a few days till it dried up and started cleaning it and water appears to have gotten into the RX8 gen 1. I stopped running it after about 5 min after the mud incident not realizing how bad it was. So is the RX8 done for good and should I get a new one? Or is there something I can do to fix it?

You said you stopped running it after the incident , or did it stopped on its own while running ? I would send it in to Tekin if it doesn`t run , I`m sure the guys at Tekin would help you out , at the very least they my offer you a new one for half the price .
