i run a 69/34 for blinky class with a hobbywing v3.1 speedo and killshot at 40 degrees endbell timing 5 minute run i come off at 100 degrees or less, if motor temps are too high with your setup just drop a couple teeth on pinion or go up 1 on spur i noticed someone told you to drop pinion for more top speed that is backwards a larger pinion will give you more top end and smaller spur will give you more top end

Mine starts out at 105-107 before it even gets on the track.

That's what I thought till I snooped around on LiveRC...
Looks like they are possibly using an extended Centro C4.1. At least, the gearbox looks to be from the C4.1. For comparison, here is the C4.2:
