How are you getting water into your bearings? I'd resolve that and then not worry about how to get water out of bearings. But I think you guys may be on opposite ends of the extreme. The bearings are sealed, and while WD40 has mild penetrating characteristics, it's likely that it's still not penetrating the seal and breaking down or displacing the grease. I'm assuming your doing a spray on/wife off action - not trying to stick the red straw directly into the seal/face of the bearing and spraying wildly.

Conversely, if some WD40 can get in, it can bring dirt with it. So make sure you clean your bearings before you clean your bearings. You know, just like using the dishwasher

I like to use simple green diluted with water to clean my kits. Since there's water involved, it's bound to make it into the bearings. How can i clean my kit without having to disasemble all my bearings afterwards?

Default In stock?

I love reading about the EB48 but you know what would be even better? Actually getting them in stock so my order from 3 weeks ago can be filled so that I can actually drive it. Anyone know when they will be in stock at any site?

So they won't have them for a couple weeks? So I'll be lucky if it gets to me by the end of August? That's horrible news, most of local races will be over. Disappointing.

I think you're good. That's what I use. Then I use this afterwards: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...-Detailer-32oz

It's offroad, dirt is involved and gets everywhere. Be more worried about dust/dirt that could follow any fluid into bearings. Avid sells bearings for $1 a piece. When things get gritty, replace them. Keep some spare.

Well I sprayed mine before it ever got dirty and kept it this way ever since .
It needs to be cleaned then sprayed . if theirs antly water in the bearings it will protect the metal even if its wet . just get the dirt off then spray entire car, body (both sides) tires ,,wheels, electronics ..... Let it sit over night the wipe off any access with a rag.
