Crc6-56 spray entire car. It will not delute the oil or wash it away will not leave as greasy a resido as wd-40 and keeps dirt from sticking .
Get it from Napa (probably have to order it ) its definitely worth its weight in gold . its made to clean /protect watercraft after u ride /winterize. But it has many great Rc application s also.

Conversely, if some WD40 can get in, it can bring dirt with it. So make sure you clean your bearings before you clean your bearings. You know, just like using the dishwasher

How are you getting water into your bearings? I'd resolve that and then not worry about how to get water out of bearings. But I think you guys may be on opposite ends of the extreme. The bearings are sealed, and while WD40 has mild penetrating characteristics, it's likely that it's still not penetrating the seal and breaking down or displacing the grease. I'm assuming your doing a spray on/wife off action - not trying to stick the red straw directly into the seal/face of the bearing and spraying wildly.

I love reading about the EB48 but you know what would be even better? Actually getting them in stock so my order from 3 weeks ago can be filled so that I can actually drive it. Anyone know when they will be in stock at any site?

It's offroad, dirt is involved and gets everywhere. Be more worried about dust/dirt that could follow any fluid into bearings. Avid sells bearings for $1 a piece. When things get gritty, replace them. Keep some spare.

Well I sprayed mine before it ever got dirty and kept it this way ever since .
It needs to be cleaned then sprayed . if theirs antly water in the bearings it will protect the metal even if its wet . just get the dirt off then spray entire car, body (both sides) tires ,,wheels, electronics ..... Let it sit over night the wipe off any access with a rag.
