has anyone noticed that when you turn the steering all the way to one side there is a "dead zone" where there is slop in the link? Never saw that in any other car before. it's a lot. you would think that if you where going through a bumpy area it would make the car hook like crazy. You can turn down the throw on the servo but you would have to turn it down ALOT!

also for some reason I had to take steering out because if I go too far one way or the other the wheels get stuck that direction, everything gets over-extended and cant re center untill you hit the gas or something else to un-jam the wheels.

with the wheels on or off? with the wheels off, yes, there is a decent sized floppy dead zone. when you put the wheels on, they hit the arms before most of that dead zone arrives.

Thanks ! then i think that the eb48 is capable of hitting real high top speeds although it wasn't designed for such goal.

are you using the screws in the steering blocks that limit steering travel?

Default Driveshaft bent

I noticed 2weeks ago that a front driveshaft was bent in my EB48. The car was still driveable but with a lot more vibration, so I replaced it. This weekend it happened again, this time at the rear. It's very visible and almost rubs against the shock cup. The arms are fine and so are the hinge pins. Any explanation for this, and how to prevent it from happening? I do crash a lot, but then I would imagine that the arm or the pin would give in first. I noticed that the hubs can slide back and forth slightly. Can that cause this issue, or is there something else to pay attention to? Thanks.

Maybe check your drop lengths as I know with other brands full drop can bend drive shafts

There is a lot of set up sheets but check over all shock lengths and adjust drop screws to suit

Spot on. If you have too much uptravel, you will bind the pivots.

I dont have much of a dead zone on mine. There is a point at full throw that the turn buckles lose leverage but that is way past the needed steering throw and on the inside wheel. It isnt so much a dead point though. This car has alot more steering throw than any car i have seen. This is why you wont see it on any other car. If your servo horn is long enough, you will be good with not locking up the steering. That will happen if the servo horn is too short

Frito
. Move the rear hub to the front
, move camber link down/inside on rear tower
, stand up front shocks run 2.5 deg toe out in front
, move battery to rear location
Run 10-15k in center diff .
these few things has my sons car very predictable almost pushy. And then if u want more steering mid corner remove sway bar

Anyone beat on the new jconcepts body at all? It's been a while since I've used that brand and purchased one for both the EB48 and SCT410. I was quite shocked on how thin a lot of the material is and have quite a bit of concern about durability....
