Have u or any of your team guys try the 3x1.4 pistons yet? If u have what do u think? Also are u running your speedo inline or in the traditional spot?

I am currently running them and running the traditional setup for electrics. I was using the 1.6 pistons front and rear Before and found the 3x 1.4's very good and more forgiving. The extra quick rebound from the taper is what I'd say I like the most about then. Of course this is just my preference and on my particular track. I'd recommend trying them though for sure.

Has anyone tried the 4x 1.3 pistons from associated that were just realeased?

Here is a breakdown of what I was running, mind you, this was what worked for me NOT using common carpet tires, was running barcode gold front and rears. Also worked well with Scrubs front clay compound and Switches rear clay compound. When I mixed scrubs up front with the barcodes was too agressiive in the steering.

FRONT

- Postion 1 on the tower For shocks
- Outer position on a-arm
- Postion 1 on tower for ball stud
- 1mm washer under ball stud
- -1 camber
- 0 degrees toe-in
- Position A on carrier
- 23mm ride height
- Steering rack Front
- 2mm washers under steering knuckle ball stud
- 30 degree caster block
- AE 12mm White Springs
- AE Flat 1.6mm pistons
- Losi 35W oil
- NOTE: Kyosho BB shocks, no limiters.


REAR
- Position 1 on shock tower for shocks
- Position 1 on tower for ball stud
- 1mm washer under ball stud, chassis brace ground flat
- Medium wheelbase
- -1 degrees camber
- 3 degrees total toe-in
- Inner shock position on a-arm
- Graphite C hub tower, B position
- Black antiroll bar
- 2 degrees antisquat
- Associated 12mm Gray
- AE Flat 2 x 1.6mm pistons
- Losi 30W
- Kyosho BB, no limiters

Ran in a mod class using a 17.5 Speed Passion MMM motor boosted, was able to TQ and win class.

I also ran the large RPM front bumper (okay, laugh it up!). was pretty common out here on the trucks on carpet so I figured give it a shot and I liked it.

Again, this is just what I ended up at, you may find you like something wayyy different.

my car is gaining weight, wtf. 1580 grams. 1555 without my weighted foam and a shorty. how do you guys get so light? I think I used to be 1535, not sure how I got to 1555. I have had the same lead in my car since I got it. Anyway. I still dont have my b4 where I want it. Looking for more high speed stability. Currently I am playing with springs and oils to try and get the right feel. Its close, just a little bit too twitchy. I am thinking go heavier on the oils and a little softer on the springs. I am thinking 1.4x3 with 32.5/30 oils and black fronts with green rears to start this week.

Let us know how it works. I just moved my speedo back to normal spot. Ran inline (like Cavs) for a while and felt ok.

Are you mounting your speedo to the chassis or on a shelf.

My car was around 1530 with a wolfpack until i got a new set of tires, hexes, ang BB shocks. Now I am around 1560.

ya mines 1530 with a shorty, and 1590 with a full size wolfpack that incudes ballest weight in both.

I've found between my two B4's that they differ by quite a bit and I was never able to pinpoint exactly where. The first one was my son's first buggy and started life out as a RTR. I had replaced all components with an exception of the rear shock tower (which shouldn't have been different), RTR motor plate, and the rear bumper. Everything else, including the +8 chassis was either broken at one point teaching him to drive, or I replaced as an "upgrade". With the same electronics and the former RTR car only differing (from what I can tell) by my choosing to use the B44 rear plastic hubs and aluminum bulkhead the car still weighed around 100 grams more than our other B4.1 FT. I was never able to figure out why... well, never really tried as I shortly after retired that car and stripped it down to spare parts.

Your cars are fat. Mine weighs 1507 with Ballast weight. Pretty sure the Tekin ESC is dropping some weight over others.

Ya mine has a RS and a mini specktrum reciever. a Jr servo, and i believe a little under a total of 30 grams of lead thru out the car not including ballest, and i am at 1530g with shorty.

Is there any video online that shows a quick tutorial on how to program an LRP ESC?

It seems pretty simple but I like to make sure I am doing things right.
