Congrats to Paolo, he deserved it.
Thanks Wingracer. Chassis is very important, but when you have a really good chassis then you NEED more power. Ft Myers needs a lot of torque and mid range, but you don't want to give up top end... I test my 2012 spec engines versus the Virtus and the Virtus had a lot more power, to the point that was able to pull a longer gear ratio. I did several test back to back with the same conditions.

I will personally only run Virtus this year. I have the ability to choose what to run and Virtus for me it's the way to go

no love for the touring car drivers? Not that I won't be driving an 8th scale this year also.

To me it feels more punchy on the low end but the biggest difference is the midrange and top end, the one i have deffinately pulls harder than all 4 of my keep on engines. And i didnt have to lean as much to make run time. These are just my findings so far. ran it with a #8 plug 2015 pipe and the medium header, vp power master fuel with castor added.

For the past few years I have started to add castor to every gallon, for added security off my engines, it also makes them last longer and I can lean on them harder without hurting them. Most fuel can benefit from adding castor especially on road engines start with adding about 1 ounce of novarossi pure castor oil, im adding 2 at the moment and am having great results. Now the fuel im running under normal circumstances does not need any more oil but iam pretty hard on my engines and lean them really far.

Is this 1 US fluid ounce? From a drugstore or from Klotz or Novarossi?

Actually I use medicine measure cups from a pharmacy and it is 1 fluid ounce to a gallon, and its just the nova rossi 1n1 oil that they sell.

Hi I just picked up the break in version of this engine. Anyone know whether there are any further "break in" transition periods before I floor this thing? Or is this thing literally race ready?

When we get a pre-run version of an engine, we run a whole bottle through the engine rich on the track, and then start race-tuning it from there. Even though the engine is technically "pre-run", it still has some breaking in to do. Just keep that in mind and make sure not to run the engine too lean. Also keep an eye on the compression of the engine.

Thanks Brandon. When you say "bottle" you mean nitro re-fill bottle and not just a mere tank-full right?
