There aren't just 2 sizes per piston. Depending on what color they have more. For example the reds have 3 different sizes. And to add to it they have a pretty different taper to them.

I hear what you're saying but who can see the drive shaft close enough while its buzzing around to notice if it wobbles or not. I know you didn't come up with this statement, but I don't buy it one bit. If it wobbles, it's gonna wobble regardless if it has load or not. Load or pressure on the wheels isn't gonna change the effect on the shaft what so ever. I put my eb48 on my treadmill in neutral mode and had the throttle pinned and it didn't make a difference.

What I can tell you guys with certainty is that these shafts are NOT perfectly straight out of the box.

I have a brand new built EB48. It was a recent batch too (about one month) and the front center shaft definitely wobbles.

I own an original batch EB48 and an original batch SCT410. Both have had the stock front rods in them and both have had a little wobble to them. Neither have gotten worse over time, and neither show any extra wear in the front coupler or outdrive.

One thing that I can see possibly contributing to making it get more out of shape is folks running without the center brace if they bend the body a lot in a crash or hard jump landing. I run the center brace on both though, so can't comment on if that is actually the case or not.

Either way, it hasn't been an issue, but if you can't stand it, the AL ones do all appear to be straight, and help give even more instant power out of the very efficient drive line.

I have one of the original batch EB48. Mine never had a wobble until I got my hands on it. I haven't seen anything that would lead me to believe it was slowing me down, enough to buy another one. I've got a lot of pack thru my buggy. Now I run a touch thicker then most in my center diff to put some power to the wheels. With the massive power that the Tekin systems puts out, any small imperfection, out of balance (too a degree), very small bend, maybe slight twist. That much power spinning in a stop and go direction, over the length of that long drive shaft. Something is bound to give. Look at top fuel dragsters. Drive shaft short, Why? Because we don't want it to look like a pretzel when were done..BUT!, On a side note... top fuel dragsters, My buggy could whoop you're....

Has anyone tried associated rc8 pistons in these shocks? There is a myriad of different pistons for the rc8 from ghea, ae, csi, etc. I've been waiting patiently for the tekno pistons but I have the jconcepts race coming up on the 24th and I'm getting a little worried they won't be in anytime soon.( I'd like a little testing n tuning with new pistons)

Nitrohouse has TEKNO pistons listed as in stock.
They are only in the SCT410 parts list which is weird.

I PM'd Tekno about the drive shaft wobble, I'll let you guys know what they say. Just find it odd that a buggy designed with such precision would have a standard wobbly drive shaft

I have run the associated pistons and the Ghea pistons. I settled on the Ghea 1.3x8 pistons for now.

I think the sct pistons are 10x1.1 and the buggy is 10x1.2 pretty sure. You could just drill them out if you wanted. That would be why they are not listed in the eb48, just the sct

the SCT410 pistons are 1.2mm x 10 hole .

Just got a reply from Tekno. The wobble is normal, if it causes an issue I'm to contact them.

Anyone have a vendor for the lt. blue and orange Kyosho springs? I seem to be able to find the blues fine, but the oranges I can't find anywhere.

Thanks
