Tekno RC EB48 Thread

Technically the SCT is for my son. He had an SCTE (that got him into the hobby) and he moved to 1/10 buggies. He drives it well but they are fragile. He told me he wanted another Short Course so the choice was obvious
I don't see a need for two EB48's so I will probably end up with an SCt410 as well. I can see the 1/10 buggies going bye bye soon even though the Schumacher's are damn fine machines.
Plus Ramos needs some more company in Pro4

stock is fine, there's not that many big flat landing jumps.

How do you guys add your setup to a pdf file? I've found a setup i really like for a low-medium traction, dusty, bumpy 8th scale track that i want to share. All those problems i used to have before with traction rolling and it being ustable in bumps are gone. Turns out my camber was totally off (measuring your turnbuckles off the car doesn't always yield accurate results). Even though i measured them with calipers when building, the camber was way off when it was on the car itself.
Oh, and too the above poster asking about parts compatability, they share A LOT in common. Only different things i can name off the top of my head are: cv driveshafts, rear hubs, front & rear arms, spindles, and front hub carriers. Pretty sure everything else is compatable. Correct me if i missed some things that are different.

Wish IP made a lighter pack as all I am seeing out there is the 7200s.

If you don't need the extra capacity then go for it ! Who knows when the SMC's will be back ..... Was gonna get some of IP packs but I don't really need the bigger battery so I passed on them .... Not to mention at 140 a pop I just bought another G Force pack instead ....

I wanted lots of spares but a spare buggy is even more fun!

He picked he hobby up fast...well the driving part. I still do most all the wrenching, which is fine because I enjoy it. I wanted him to get his hands a little more dirty with this truck but it didn't work out that way. He pretty much built his entire Schumacher buggy except for shocks and dif.
I am anxious to let him wheel the EB48. I think if he respects the power that is there and is smart with it, he'll be fast.
Good luck with your daughter. I have definitely enjoyed the new time spent with my boy.Hell, my brother and I talk almost every day now as he just got into the hobby and we didn't speak that often before

My brother got me into this last year, I caught the habit from him.
I am waiting for my just turned one son to get older as well. He doesn't know what he's got coming, guitars or RC cars. I was busy enough before but learning about RC and racing has added to it. Having the kids involved would be great.
