Bob, no idea where you got that picture, but it's probably not a real Durango team driver.

I made a rear shelf plate out of a spare carbon battery strap. Had to oval the holes slightly, but it worked. Never actually got to test it though because my ESC was too tall and the body wouldn't fit.

ROFL, who said anything about it being Jorn's car. Jesus guys, read the post LOL. It's a local kid named Brandon who runs for Tekin and I took the picture. My car is in the background. We were making fun of his redneck patch job but guess what, it worked. Got him through the day (on 2 different occasions now). He's actually quite a good driver. That wing is a product of getting steam rolled by 4wd SCT's in practice all day LOL.

The rear shock tower broke while downsiding a jump perfectly. I was watching his car specifically because he was on a TQ run LOL. It happened the same way a few weeks before. The reason they did that to the tower was no one had rear shock towers in stock and they had no spare. Rather than not race, they made it work.....

Oh btw, he went on to TQ and win AFTER he broke that.

So the moral of the story is/was the car broke several times under normal circumstances and parts availability is an issue from time to time. He did go for 3 weeks without front caster blocks as well because they were out of stock everywhere.

lol, I dont have anything to make it out of and the t plate holes should line right up. I would just need to trim it to my liking. I could probably get a used T-Plate to work if I shoe goo'd my esc in place, lol.

I know it is not Jörns car. What I meant by "I don't recall Jörn Neumann having a problem breaking rear towers" was if you don't crash a bunch (like Jörn) you shouldn't have a problem with the rear tower.

I don't have a problem with temp fixing a part to get you through racing. But if you find that your durability testing ability (how much you crash) is more effective than that of the company that makes the car you want to run, then figure out a good solution. I know for a fact that there are at least 3 companies that have carbon fiber towers for the DEX210. Not to mention at least one company that is making towers out of aluminum. That same company also makes aluminum caster blocks. Maybe it is the guy wrenching on his car that is holding him back. Jörn seems to do all right with the DEX210 (even on dirt).

If he was as fast as you said, he shouldn't be running a wing that looks like that, whether he got destroyed by short bus guys in practice or not. Also, if you are a good driver you shouldn't be getting taken out by short bus guys in practice. Unless he was the only buggy on the track with 10-15 SC trucks, at which point if he is so good, he should know better than to be on track with that many SC trucks.

The whole "he landed the jump perfect and the rear tower just snapped" thing reminds me of something my friend always use to say. "I was driving down the strait and the a arm just fell off, but didn't break in any of the huge crashes before that".

All this being said, we had better get this thread back on topic, lest we feel the wrath of the rctech big brother.

Jorn doesn't break rear towers because he uses a 4mm carbon one..and so does pretty much the whole team..

anyway, the original point was, the b4 comes with a solid car and all of the upgrades. We normally only break front arms while hitting pipes. And slop is fast, lol
