Guessing you have a bigger & more powerful .050 then me ...
You won't feel the bind in a brand new shaft. Run it a few weekends then compare it. The sets crews in the barrel of the driveshafts will cause accelerated wear on the pins since they can't rotate.

This is the reason you don't see the setscrews in 8th scale driveshafts anymore.

Balloons over the springs will bind the springs. Balloons over the shafts won't.
These work great, are cheap, & come in lots of colors.

High traction situations, like Cactus was. Centro conversion is very popular in Europe. According to Facebook they're getting ready for EOS.

Testing for the Worlds race at amainhobbies Silver Dollar Raceway. Maybe even higher traction then Cactus Classic.

im curious what running a saddle pack sidexside in a b4 like how they are mounted in the 22, rb6, and say c4.1, would do to the handling.

like for example removing the battery bracing and using the sc104x4 saddle pack mounts. wish i could find an extra +8mm chassis lol

I run um till the out drives are shot and then I replace um ..(6 to 8 weeks )

Never once had to replace a pin thrown from the C clip shifting ...

Problem with that is the chassis isnt flat, the battery compartment is flat but angles up on the sides so the saddle packs would be able to sit flat relative to the surface.

Why do you say that. Is there something unique about it

The only reason Cav is building the centro is because he is going to the finals in the European Offroad Series. The track is covered in carpet. So before everyone starts buying centro conversion kits...just know that the centro won't be run on normal offroad surface..

For those running set screws in the rear hubs:
- running 1 setscrew or 2?
- installed on the bottom, or on the inside (small bearing side)?
- are the hingepins more likely to bend?

Outdrives shot at 6-8 weeks you must run every day.

I have never shot a pin with no setscrew and just a drop of ca on the clip.
