What would be nice to see is the rc10b4.2 continue to be produced & the release of an rc10b4mr. It wouls have a different chassis, motor plate, tranny case (extra gear), & rear tower, but everything else would be the same. Although this would put a huge dent in the sales for X-Factory & CML (in Europe) who have done exactly this previously.

I think having 2 separate buggies is best for this. You have to cut corners and sacrifice to make a convertible car. In the US, it is normally rear motors. even the guys from Europe come here and use rear motor. But SRS decided to make this event more of a mid motor? Why? I dunno, maybe TLR and durango paid them, lol. I am still looking at the Yokomo and might get one to play with for fun. Since the support would be low, I get to try and tune it all by myself, lol. And I consider yokomo to be AE's cousin, so keep it in the family, lol. I actually like driving the 22 and the b4 back to back and comparing them. Need to add a yokomo to the mix.

So if the Ryan's win....is it the car or the driver. it is always fun to watch people argue back and forth. I can hear it now, obviously the b4 was inferior, it only won because of the ryans. But the track was designed for super high bite and mid motor. Yep, that just goes to show how good the Ryan's are and has nothing to do with the car, lolololol.

imagine how many xfactories woulda been sold if paul could have made it out this year... everyone wanting to make their b4.2s work better lol

The b4 didnt look horrible. Cav was in 2nd the whole race till he cased the triple twice, which doesnt matter where the motor is at. And denney had a good run also. And it is only the first round....

Last I saw, Paul Sinclair was going to be there. Guess something came up.
If you notice, all these guys built mid motor cars. They didn't convert. In alot of the pics, you see their primary car in the back ground. They don't have to pay for them so why not be prepared.

yeah that doesn't surprise me at all. AE has always been good on high bite... I just think he felt that the mid motor was slightly faster. He never said his was bad. Remember, these guys are talking about tenths of a second so they want every advantage.

Im not arguing that the mid motor definitely has an advantage for this track, but its not going to make anyone lose the whole event. The mid motor should be able to run faster laps and carry more corner speed, but the rear motor should be nice and consistent. And as we saw in the first heats.... maifield, cav, and denney are still running just as fast lap times as mid motor.

pretty much the design. flipping the tranny and rear tower does not really make a car that was tuned for mid motor. And if they try to tune it more mid motor, the rear config will mostly suffer.

I don't know why it can't. There may be holes in the chassis that are not used and possibly a few components that are not used for the individual setup but there is no reason a top of the line 2 option system could not be done
