Does anyone know what size (thickness) the AE Cva pin is? I wanted to buy some drill bits and make my own for rebuilds

Those last forum few pages with radio, brake, 17.5 discussion was awesome. I can't wait to start playing with my radio. I have a LRP flow I am using drag brake set at 7 blinks, is there anything else on brake side I should look at? Also expo......don't understand when to use and how. Any good web pages on this radio stuff.

+2 my brake don't lock up anywhere on the track so I never lose all momentum. Under braking you don't lose momentum it you will get more steering I don't use the brake that much in a 17.5 race I use it mostly when setting up a turn to pass slow traffic at the same time not to lose momentum. Also diff track has a say so when to use any brake or not

I subscribe to the belief that expo anywhere is a blatant fail and will only serve to make you a worse driver. Serious. Linear is how you get the feel for where your throttle and brake are and make it to where you can down side every jump like a boss. If you feel that you need expo, you should gear down, motor down, or turn your EPA down. That's my view.

Some tracks it's okay to set your brake so that it doesn't lock up anywhere, but don't be afraid to set it higher when you need to brake harder in one place to go faster. I've ran into several layouts where it was important to brake hard on the face of a jump or other feature that pressed the car into the surface (such as the end of a large bowl corner) where you had to have WAY more brake to take that section fast compared to the brake you could ever use on other sections of the track.

I measured them last weekend because I have to draw my whole car in inventor.

I thought I measured 1.5mm (not 100% sure).
You might want to measure it too

As long as you're using conventional servos without expo you have greater response close to center and less response farther from center. That's not linear.

Expo was developed to get linear response from rotary servos, and is required for that.

FTW.

Expo is extremely useful. But like everything, use it in moderation.

Just got some new material in and thought I would give it a shot for chassis protectors. These are precut, and are easy to apply to your chassis. It is 3D Carbon Fiber Twill-Weave Vinyl. This unique product is made of UV resistant vinyl that features a carbon textured finish. Unlike those cheap carbon printed patterns, their true 3D texture resembles the genuine look of dry carbon fiber, the weave reflects light the same way as the actual carbon fiber would. They look awesome! Just look at the pics.........

•Permanent acrylic pressure-sensitive self-adhesive
•Stretchable with heat
•Easily cleansed with water
•Resistant to UV, water, dirt, grease, salt, mild acid and oil
•Long lasting
•Easy remove without residue
•OEM Certified Automotive Graphics Vinyl. NOT A 3M DI-NOC product

If anyone wants to send me a chassis for any type of RC vehicle so I can make a template, I would be willing to cut them 2 protectors for free. If anyone is interested, Please message me! Thanks!

I got one from this member, the holes don't line up, the chassis tape doesn't seem long enough and it peels really easily. The only thing I could think of is it wasn't the +8 chassis

Solar 770 servo, a viper vtx10 esc and a reedy sonic motor. Novak esc's are behind the times. Replace your kids rtr servo with the solar 770. you will be glad you did. The rtr servo is pretty weak.
