Tekno RC EB48 Thread
#5041
I had a similar problem assembling the Tekno SCT410 diffs. Really, its not something just associated with the Tekno to be honest. Basically when I put them together, really have to make sure that the gears all seat together correctly, as if you try spinning the cups at all even by mistake, thing can shift enough that when you snug down the screws, it will bind up. I had that happen like 3 times before I figured it out, and, it did that once when I put the steel spur on the EB48.

I think it's just me, I will have over tightened them. The gaskets are all on there!
When they are not too tight, do they spin fairly freely, with a notch or two? The others turn, but not freely, and I can feel the notches when I turn them.
I didn't think they could be on too tight, wanted to avoid leaks.
I haven't started on the diff cases till I sort this out. It's gonna be a long build!

Ok, my build is continuing and I have already avoided another "help" post so I'm getting better. This isn't so bad, the shocks will test me next I think.
I've done the front and rear bulkheads and there was only one shim in the front diff bag, but two in the rear.
So so far I have no shims for the spider gears at all and one less diff shim, is this normal for these kits these days? The manual with it seems updated, it mentions the diff break in procedure.

genebaby...did you get the center diff to work for you?
Also, I had 2 diff shims (not spider gear shims) for front and rear but I didn't get the new diff break in directions in mine...and I also bought it straight from tekno after the 3rd release....I wonder how many different variations there are and which one I ended up with lol.

kyosho blues all the way around, 42.5 front oil, 37.5 rear oil, stock pistons, rear camber link on the outer most hole on the hub..everything else stock
this set-up is super stable and easy to drive. it rotates well under braking and has a ton of on power steering! i put about 15 batteries though my car today, and i got nothing but faster and more consistent!

Hi!
At first, sorry for my English))), I'm from Russia, and English isn't my native.
Ok.*
*I want to race on eb48, and in this regard I have some questions:
1. Anybody used and reviewed about Li-po from Trinity?
"Trinity LiPo 4S 14.8V 6500mAh 70C Super Hi-Voltage Buggy"
2. And which replasement parts of EB48 I must have?
3. EB48 is oversteering or understeering in setup-from-manual, totaly I interested this aspect in the middle of the turn & after apex?
Thank you very much in advance))
Спасибо большое заранее)))

The lightened couplers are stock on the EB48, optional on the SCT410. The EB48 ones are in the replacement parts section of the site.
