Tekno RC EB48 Thread

Here's some pics of the OFNA horn installed on my SCT. The Racer's Edge horn is almost the same, but the link will be slightly higher. I really like these horns (OFNA and Racer's Edge) because I don't need a lock nut. I just us some blue loctite and thread into the horn. No issues with it coming loose on my buggy or my truck.

Thanks guys, this is the RE horn I use (Pro Adjustable)http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...-Hard-Anodized
With that said, I'm mixed between this buggy and another. I have wanted this one since I saw it when I first got back into the hobby a few months ago. With the truck out now too, it might be just enough to push me into buying the EB48 as I might get my son another SCT to race this summer.

Hay guys.. could someone clear to me what is the issue with the stock black servo horn ( 24t for example ) because i can see large number complaining of it.
before i order my kit i placed in mine buying the hot bodies 24t hitech horn but i ended using the stock one without any problems so far and keeping the hot bodies horn in the tools box.

So myself and Streetsports both just built EB48's running T8's with 4s.
We started a discussion on batteries. I think we are both just using Turnigy's 4.5 and 5.0 hardcases. However we were talking about other options and started talking about weight.
The question came up should we worry about bigger batteries.. say a 6500mah hard case that is 631g/22.2oz. vs 528g/18.6oz.(Turnigy 4500 and strangely Hobbykings site say 5000 are 528g too)
Is 631g on the battery going to make it so we really should counter balance it?
Or is that really adding too much weight to the car, which one of its pro's is it's light-weight?
I haven't added to my arsenal a set of 4 scales to do any comparisons yet, Just hoping someone has already thought about this and came up with an opinion?

Desert runner do you do a lot of jumping/track running? If not then the plastic one will probably do fine for you.
The only plastic horns I've ever had last a while is the team associated ones because the have the aluminum ring that keep the plastic from expanding out away from the splines allowing it to slip n strip. I think most companies are expecting you do go aftermarket here.

But i believe it would be a good investment to change to a Allu Servo as not to have any downtime specially if you do not have any spare with you in your parts box when racing/bashing with this buggy. Peace of mind is also a good thing to have with one less part to keep on reserve.

using a Savox 1528TG with a Caster Saver ( similar to a Racers Edge, i think)

This is how it sits now.

Installed a Fan as it was getting 150 above reading on 25 mins run.
did the skids with my handy dremel.

not a show piece but its working as designed, hahaha..
