A few weeks ago I upgraded to a 4.2. With my previous 4.1 I ran the out of the box setup no mods or upgrades and was happy with it. I built the 4.2 to the stock setup and it is waaaaaay to twitchy. Basicly the only difference between the two are the big bores and the alum steering rack. The 4.1 was over a yr old but well maintained with regular parts replaced so it had very little slop. Does anyone prefer the plastic steering\savor over the alum?

Hmmmm I never thought about the extra weight up front, I was just thinking the alum parts had no flex compared to the plastic stuff in turn causing the twitchyness. I've never turned my dual rate down before but with the 4.2 had to dial it back to 82% just so I could drive the thing.

I havn't tried any setup changes except for dropping down to 27.5 shock oil then down to 25wt last wk. This week I'm going back up to 30wt but with the 1.7 pistons. My local track in the winter is a 2hr drive and we don't get much practice before the heats to try a lot of things.
