Try the Tazers from Proline, great tire.

[QUOTE=Flykrisco;11864713]I did not think of removing the plug. Darn. I did however make a slot for the plug to slide through. Here's a pic. I don't I get any chassis flex because of the slot. I'm glad to see other people do it. That wire poking over the bulkhead was bugging me. I try to keep it sole and clean.

What is your esc sitting on?

Anyone have any experience with squeezing a rear open foam into a front tire? It feels as hard as my red foam. Also for the rear, I took a stock rear foam and glued a stock front foam to it and it feels pretty hard mounted up. Haven't glued it yet but, was wondering if anyone else has tried this. I predict they won't even last as long as proline foams.

I run a full rear cut down 1/4 inch and rounded with scissors. They're a bear to get in there, but rounding the sides (for both the bead and the outside edge) make it end up going in the right place the best. They last longer than the blues in my experience, but not that much.

Why are some of the team drivers using the 25C wolfpacks instead of a higher C rated pack? I would assume this would cause more fade towards the end of the run and less punch overall.

I seem to recall an ae team guy saying (in a recent video) that one of the reasons was that it softened up with throttle a bit on 2wd and that was the desired effect.

They are running these packs with mod motors. The C rating is not that important in mod as you can generally get the desired power depending on what motor your running. They also said that they were lighter than a full pack but heavier than a shorty and that weight is much better as it is distributed more than a shorty

I don't know if anyone else has said it and I want to post this now before reading the rest of the thread (started from the beginning just the other day). If someone else posted this, please forgive me, and please don't read this like I'm trying to flame anyone or be a smarty pants....I just want to help!!

SXXv2 + hi amperage servos can lead to BECs going POP!

I know SOME people have had good fortune, but every racer I race with, including more than one AE/LRP sponsored driver has had issue with the V2. I had mine go up in smoke with exactly the servo you are referring to. It lasted 2 full race days, then poof. Others have gone through 4 ESCs in a racing season.

Get the Mod + Stock upgrade sooner rather than later! So far, it seems to have resolved the BEC issue.

(And before anyone says "all those people must have been doing something wrong", it was a big enough issue that AE issued essentially a voluntary recall once the Mod+Stock boards with the stronger BEC was available last fall....)

Seems like something a $5 glitchbuster might solve? I'm no expert, but wouldn't an rx-side cap lessen the load on the ESC?

A cap can only do so much. RX caps rarely completely solve an issue with a drop in BEC. I've had a bank of 5 big caps and still had issues with some speedos. Still had brown outs. Gotta fix the BEC, RX caps are such a hack.

Im new to off road so im after some advice on this buggy. What are the must have spares I should carry? I have average parts support locally and i want to keep minimal spares on hand. I will be racing outdoors so no boards to smash things. Assume ill keep the regular bits like arms, hubs, knuckles etc. Also what are the best options for springs if I don't want to keep 100 different pairs. I'm thinking 1 set each side of kit so grey and green rears and green and brown fronts. Any advice is appreciated. Regards Benzaah.
