edit: forgot to say the esc lol
Only done to help the car change direction left to right on very tight & narrow tracks..
Screws with the forward
weight transfer & balance however & some do not like .....

I might mount my esc on top of the battery strap. Just to see how it goes. It should stay with the tape I use.

Its funny that this car has been out for so long and I have not seen a single person mount the ESC up high on the battery brace until Cav did it at the reedy race. Now everybody wants to do it.

Losi started it with the 22. My b4 changes direction just fine. It's the whole forward part that's lacking.

lol

I have a question about roll center on this car. It seems so much different then my losi 22. In the rear the inside camber link produces more side bite when I remove washers. That is backwards of my losi. And on the front removing washers under the inside camber link gives it more turn in. Does this seem right?

You're confusing empirical results with what is actually happening to cause the empirical result.

On your losi, your rear roll center was probably on the low side, so raising it made it better over all. On the b4, you were probably a bit on the high side, and lowering it made it better over all. If you're roll center in the rear is wrong significantly in either direction, you're going to be loose. Too low and the car wants to flop over and wash out, too high and the rear just slides around out to lunch.

Removing washers in the front inside (raising roll center) almost always adds more initial steering on all cars. It tends to remove mid corner steering if you go too far.

I put the esc in the back of the battery tunnel and didn't like it. Did this last spring and couldn't get it to drive the way I wanted it to. Went back to on the side and my lap times went right back to where they were. Maybe with more time I could have figured it out.

Ok that makes sense. I am pretty good at tuning by trial and error. I can always get my cars hooked up. But sometimes I do things and get an entirely different result then what I had expected. Then I just go the other way. Still learning why things do what they do.

I felt the same way. but i also had a brass plate underneath the esc. they did this on the 22 because of the such close relation of weight front and rear so having the esc high in the rear helped increase weight transfer to the back.

The JC Double D is probably the closest tire from Jconcepts

JC's Double Dee is great, but not as aggressive as the Holeshot. I don't really care for the Goosebumps, or Flipouts, outdoors. Too soft.

I absolutely LOVE AKA's Impacts outdoors (around here) though.

I plan to switch from the DD's to holeshot v'2s as I feel the holeshots give better traction. at least on my track. My DD's only felt good for like 1-2 weekends then fell off rapidly.
