When holding my car, the block clears the arm by about 1mm.

I'd say either your shock eyelet isn't screwed on all the way, or you have too much negative camber.

So when do you think we'll start seeing some pro indoor clay setups for this car? Didn't we just have the Spektrum race, what other races are coming up that this car will be in? I've looked at some of the 44.1 setups with the bb and they seem to be close to the 44.2 stock setup minus the pistons and oil weight. Being that this is my 1st AE car I could use all the help I can get, LOL.

Check to see if you have the steering blocks on wrong side or backwards. Thy are marked L & R, and can also be installed flipped.

The AE Team has been running the car for some time. There were 2-3 running at the JC race in Mass last month.

I got to try a box stock .2 over the weekend and it was pretty good, but not as aggressive as my current .1 setup. Most of which is probably due to the stiffer springs that I run.

So i could not wait for the kids to get into bed so i put it in the hudy setup system and stuffed in the batteries, motor and esc and the servo and the camber were way off!! so i made it -1 front and rear as it says in the manual and now there is no clearance problems...

weee thanks for the help guys!

when i got it all put together ill look at it again.

Just got the kit, parts look good!

Are people still doing the whole sand&CA prep thing on their carbon parts?

These parts look tight, weave seems tight, good edges.. should I bother?

(PS, No CA in sight and dieing to put this together LOL)

Just to throw this out there in case anyone else is scratching their head like I was. The drive cups that were in my kit were BOTH the set screw type. There is no where on 1 of my slipper drive cups to put an oring. Will just put some set screws in that one till i get more.
Overall a great building car so far. Can't wait to race it this weekend.

I did lightly sand and use black Sharpie on all edges of all carbon fiber (easy), but I only did CA glue on the edges for the shock towers (except the bottom). Putting the CA glue on nice, clean, and most of all evenly, isn't the easiest thing. After doing the shock towers, I deemed it unnecessary for the rest of the kit :P

Step 3 Page 21 of the kit manual. It's one of the very last things you do essentially. You don't want to be installing under chassis screws through that film; it'll come apart quickly then once running on the track.

I CA'd the shock towers and main chassis. I didn't sand anything though.

A standard setup sheet is now on Associated website.
Looking at it says run shock rod ends on rear hub camber link. Has anyone done this and what reason is there to do this? A clearance issue with the wheel or something?
Also check the comments. Says grind the left rear dogbone end for clearance. Has anyone had any issues with the driveshafts bottoming out in the drive hub?
